The music video for “Tantrum Desire” – Reach

has a nightlife setting which is when people appreciate this type of music at nightclubs and raves.

This has influenced us to have a night setting and possibly set up a rave type scene.

Also it will be narrative based showing the past of the main singer and how it reflects the future.

Research and Ideas

We looked in detail as to what type of drum

and bass song that we would want to do, this is as some songs have no lyrics at all, so it doesn’t have much personality or story behind it. But with a song like the one we have chosen there are vocals which can provide a basic story and also the element of the dance music when the vocals stop.

There are some examples of similar ideas like,

Tantrum Desire – Reach. Ours will be different because we plan to not have the structure of the video, like when the main character runs from club to club avoiding a masked figure. We just want to use settings like they have used, like the night time scenes and the club scenes as with this genre of music it is based mainly for people who enjoy the nightlife.

We are aiming our video at people between 16 and

25. This is as the genre of music which is drum and bass, is generally aimed at that age category.

The main audience of this music video would be people who live in the city, this is as it is more of a urban scene then a country side thing. In the city people are more likely to go to clubs and raves, with this genre of music playing.

It will be a mainly boy audience as it has quite hard hitting drums and a strong beat. Some girls will also be attracted this video due to the female vocalist.

Target Audience

We will have to film with authorization if we

are planning to film in a club or club type setting.

We will have to do a risk assessment of the areas that we are planning to shoot.

We could achieve our ideas by going to a small nightclub and ask if we can film, or set up our own nightclub based scenario.
