1. WHAT IS YOUR GENDER? This is effective because it

gives us an idea of what our questionnaire is biased to and we can understand which is the more predominant gender in our questionnaire. We expected there to be an even amount of boys and girls however, there ended up being more females than males who answered the questionnaire. This made us think that our music video should be mainly made towards females as we know what females like more.

We also have a question for the age groups who we want the music video to be aimed at. We wanted the main information from younger generations such as teenagers and young adults so we kept the ages spaces on the questionnaire quite small and close together.

3. HOW OFTEN DO YOU WATCH MUSIC VIDEOS?

We used this to see whether the music video will be seen often by our target audience and to make sure that the video is successful. Also we expected the amount of time people spend watching music videos to be once a week however the majority answer was ‘Always’ which suggests that making our music video will be effective as it will be likely that many people will see it.

5. WHO IS YOUR FAVOURITE RNB ARTIST? We then asked the question of

what the favourite RnB artist was just to double check that our audience will enjoy the viewings of our music video and will like the artist enough to watch the video. In hope that Rihanna would come top in the answers we left the question without oprions and left a line for people to express their own mind. In the end Beyoncé and Rihanna came joint first at being the most favourite RnB artist. As we did leave the question as an open question there were quite a few random answers however they did have joint answers so many people did answer with the same name.

We then asked about which type of videos they liked the best to see which type of music video we should make and to appeal to our target audience. We didn’t expect anything from this question however we did get answers which were quite consistent and this meant that it was easier to collect the information for the graphs in the analysis.

7. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE ABOUT THIS ARTIST’S MUSIC VIDEOS?

We asked this question to see what types of things we should keep out of our music videos. This is effective to ensure that the audience are seeing something which they like. We didn’t expect a predominant answer as it was an open question however, the most dominating answer was that the videos are repetitive which makes us think that we would like to do something different with the video to make It more interesting.

MUSIC VIDEOS? This question was used

because our artist is an RnB artist however the song is a ballad with an upbeat tempo and so we wanted to know what our audience thinks of videos in general. The best answer was that they liked the fast pace of the music video and so we decided that we would a fast pace to our video with some words corresponding to the song and making sure again that the audience like it.
