This is the section where all of your clips you have filmed are stored, you can easily drag clips into the editing area from here.

This shows you your piece you have been editing, it’s useful to see whether your decision works or not, you can also make it full screen.

This layer is sound, it could be dialogue or a soundtrack, the sound layer is often the bottom layer so its easier to see the clips you need to cut, such as footage.

These grey boxes are layers that are generated media, often these will be the titles in an opening sequence such as ours. They could also be sound effects.

Sound is controlled with these bars, it can also be adjusted on individual clips.

The undo button, a very useful tool after trialing something in editing!

These rectangular boxes are where you control your different layers of audio and footage, sound can be altered on each individual layer to make it fit better.
