When I want to do something good,Like finishing my homework,Something seems to tell me,To do it later than now instead!
When I want to do something nice,Like bake a cake for my brother,Something seems to tell me,To put some pepper in it instead!
When I want to do something sweet,Like pay a visit to my grandma,Something seems to tell me,To rush to my best friend’s house instead!
When I want to do something noble,Like write a letter to the President on world peace,Something seems to tell me,To wage war on my neighbor’s dog (and the cat) instead!
When I want to do something honest,Like own up to the fact that I had lied,Something seems to tell me,To just chuck it all up and lie some more instead!
When I want to write a nice little poem,Like one that makes you feel all good (and wins contests),Something seems to tell me,To write one about things that make you go ugh instead!
