The SiMania Joint Duelacy – Chapter 4

Hello and welcome back to the SiMania Joint Duelacy, for Chapter 4, which is written by Lydia aka

hippielayla86.

Each generation of this legacy is written by a different member of the SiMania Sims Chat Forum -

www.s12.invisionfree.com/sim_mania. We've currently made it through 3 generations, and will now be

following generation 3's heir Ricky McMania throughout his time in the spotlight.

If you haven't done so already, you should read the previous chapters for this legacy, Chapters 1&2 by elushi0us (Darcy) and Chapter 3 by meadowthayer

(Haleigh). All three of these chapters can be found in previous posts in this journal.

And without further ado, let's get on with it shall we?

Since it's been a while since the last update, let me re-introduce you to the McManias.

First, pictured on the left is the lovely lady who started it all, Sally McMania. Sally is the current heir's grandmother.

On the right, is Sally's husband, Grayson a lovable family sim – a very attentive husband, father and grandfather.

Next we have Generation 2's heir Lincoln, and his wife Ratna. These two lovebirds met while they were at

college, and soon after meeting left college and went home to start a family together.

Lincoln and Ratna had 3 children together. Their

eldest is Cole, a bright young fortune sim

who wants nothing more in the world than to be the Head of the

SCIA.

Cole's twin Melinda, is a sweet family sim who wants to be the Minister of Education when she graduates.

The family's pet is their lovable, loyal dog Scout.

And though they are no longer with the

McMania's, it would be wrong to not mention their first pets, cats Mowgli and

Baloo.

And now that you've met his family and his pet, it's time to re-introduce you to the heir of generation 3 – Ricky.

Ricky is a Romance sim who longs to have 20 simultaneous lovers. I've never attempted this LTW before, and I must admit that it is a little intimidating!

As you can see, I've built the McManias a new home, which I'm rather proud of. It's the first time I've built a

house on a beach lot, so I'm hoping to have a lot of fun with picture taking! What I'm more likely to get is

skilling that's interrupted by sunbathing, lol. This home cost 100,458 simoleons partially furnished, has two bedrooms, two master bedrooms, two master baths,

and 2 bathrooms. Yes, I got a bit carried away. ;)

And for those of you, like myself, who like aerial shots:

First floor: Left to right, top to bottom - music room, the living room, and the dining room. Lincoln and Ratna's master bed&bath, the hallway, the kitchen and a small

bathroom at the bottom right.

Second Floor: Left to right, top to bottom – Melinda's bedroom, Cole & Ricky's bedroom. Sally and

Grayson's bed & bath, the hallway and a full bath on the far right.

Now, Ricky, Melinda and Cole weren't at home for too long before they headed off to college. There were only in Belladonna Cove for long enough to get into Platinum moods to make their transitions from teen hood to young

adult hood with ease.

Ricky spent most of his time meeting the female neighbors, including Samantha Cordial, whom he was on good enough terms with after one chat to hug when she

went home for the night.

Both Baloo and Mowgli's ghosts have been very active, and have been scaring the p-- wits out of all of the

McMania's guests.

Since my computer and SimPe don't like each other right now, I'm currently stuck with Lincoln's new LTW being

“20 simultaneous best friends” instead of what he had in Haleigh's game which was career related. So, needless

to say, Lincoln is always on the phone.

It didn't take me long to notice that there weren't any painted portraits of the family members in anyone's

inventory. So, since Mel had maxed all of her skills, she was the one who was chosen to paint family portraits.

She started first with Grayson's.

On a normal night one could find Sally outside with Scout teaching him new tricks. All of her wants these days

revolve around him learning new commands and getting promotions. I find this a bit strange since she's a

romance sim, but I'll go with it. It's better than her wanting to make out with people other than her husband.

Cole has developed quite a green thumb, and spends his extra time outside of school and work gardening. He is

always in a great mood aspiration wise, so he'll be ready to go to college once Mel & Ricky join him with platinum

aspirations.

Since Ratna will soon be a grandmother once Ricky graduates from college, I decided it was time she sat down with a cook book and learned how to cook more

than spaghetti. I mean, whose grandma isn't a great cook and baker? Both of mine are fantastic in the kitchen.

I know Haleigh said this many times in her chapter, but I have to say it myself too – Sally and Grayson are one of

the most loving and adorable elder couples I've ever seen in my game. They just can't keep their hands off

each other.

I also love this picture, because it looks like Ricky and his friend Allyn are looking to Sally and Grayson as an

example.

Shortly after witnessing Sally and Grayson's cute PDA, Ricky and Allyn shared their first kisses together. This put Romance sim Ricky in a platinum aspiration, and ready to go to college! Now to find family sim Mel a boyfriend

for her first kiss...

Though Sally and Grayson are now elders, they both still act as if they were party animals in college. But, I

suppose that's the best way to do it, live up life to the fullest! Including indulging in some silly dancing every

once in a while.

This picture is mostly in here, because I love how much continuity there is between two people's games. Sally

and Grayson cuddle like this every morning in my game just as they had in Haleigh's. Too cute for words!

It seemed to take forever, but Mel finally found her first boyfriend to share her first kiss with. Her boyfriend's name is Heath, and he is the one to thank for finally letting me send all of the McMania gen. 3 children to

college!

That morning Sally and Grayson wished their

grandchildren good luck as they were taken off to

college.

Unlike their son and daughter-in-law, Sally and Grayson were very sad to see their grandchildren off to college.

They loved having their grandkids around the home keeping them entertained during their retirement. It won't

be shocking to me at all if these two show up at the college home often.

If you take a close look in the picture on the far right with Ricky, you can see the college rental home before I added on to it. It was much too small for three people

when Ricky arrived there alone that morning.Now that the three of them have arrived at college, I'm

going to hand the narration over to our heir Ricky. :)

After a short taxi cab ride, Mel, Cole and Ricky arrived at La

Fiesta Tech to their new rental home.

to be away from home and have some freedom to do things the way that we want to do them. While this new freedom doesn't seem to have as much of an effect on Mel, she went straight inside and got to work on a paper. I on the other hand wasted no time in reaching for my phone to invite over a lady friend, Samantha.

Hey everyone, Ricky here, welcome to the lovely La Fiesta Tech University. I think I can speak for my siblings when I say it's nice

I suppose I should tell you all my big secret right now – what I really want most in the world is to have 20 women

that are in love with me. I know that may seem a bit selfish, but I figure, there's enough of me to go around.

The more the merrier right?

So I broke the ice with Samantha right away.“Samantha, it means so much to me to have you as my first visitor from back home! I hope that this rose can express my happiness in seeing you.”“Oh, Ricky, I'm flattered -- honest”

Love & Woohoo #1Samantha

A few more sweet words and flirting, and Sam and I were soon upstairs in my bedroom... having a good time.*

---Since there will be a lot of lovers and woohoos for Ricky in this chapter, I've decided I will label each girlfriend of Ricky's numerically. So each time you see #_ - Name of Girlfriend Ricky has fallen in love with her and woohoo'd with her. This is just to save some chapter space for other things that aren't woohoo oriented. ;)

While I was upstairs with Sam, Cole met a cute girl of his own, her name is Ally, and she's as much of a Science geek as Cole. They seem to be hitting it off quite well.

During all of this Mel has already written her first term paper for college, declared her major – History. After all of this, she decided she would phone up Dad and tell him all about our first days here at school. I was glad to hear she didn't say anything about me and Samantha. I don't really want Dad knowing what I'm up to all the time.

While I was upstairs sharing some good times with Samantha, Cole was trying to make a move of his own on Ally. As you can see, Cole and I have very different ways of interacting with women. Cole sees food as the

way to a woman's heart, and I think that a lot of affection, compliments and a good old fashioned rose will win them

over every time.

Let's see how well dinner works out for my brother.

A little while later, I walked downstairs with Sam to wish her a good night. That's when I saw Cole moping around

the kitchen muttering a little too loudly to himself.

“I make her a dinner, and all he does is give her a lousy rose and he makes it all the way to 4th base! I'll just show him that I can impress women as much as he can.”

Cole was muttering this while he walked outside...

Though Cole's approach to women takes longer than mine – I'm just the more talented brother – he did

manage to share his first kiss with Ally that night on the porch.

I couldn't help but spy on him from the kitchen!

The next day I happened to run into another beautiful

woman on my way home from class. Her name is Christy.

Unfortunately I didn't have too much time to spend with

Christy, I had my term paper to write, I had put it off for too long. I only have 5 more hours

to write the thing!

Pretty much right after Christy left, Grandma and Grandpa showed up unannounced. And to make it even

better Grandpa showed up in his old mascot uniform! Hah

I am very glad I wasn't up to something in my bedroom when they arrived.

Mel decided to take this opportunity to paint Grandma's portrait to go next to Grandpa's. I must say, she did a

really great job with it.

I quickly got to work on my term paper and was able to finish it with enough time left to call up Christy before my

exams.

It took us no time at all to pick things up from where we left off.

Before I knew it Christy and I were racing to my bedroom.

# 2 - Christy

My exams went great, and so did Mel and Cole's, We all ended up with 4.0s and spots on the Dean's list.

Mel immediately called Mom and Dad, and they were very happy with the good news.

Taking this exam also helped me choose my major, I'm now a psychology major. Cole has also chosen his

major, Economics.

Mel and Cole immediately went to work on their term papers while I went to work on finding more girlfriends.

My search out to be very fruitful. I had 3 very

successful dates in 3 dates.

College is certainly treating me well, there's no shortage of lovely very date-able women.

Including Elise, she and I hit it off very quickly.

While I was upstairs, with Elise, Mel & Cole were talking about me:

“Melinda, does Ricky ever sleep alone? I feel like we always hear him with a woman every night!”

“Well, that's just the way Ricky is, Cole. We won't have to live with him forever. Plus, maybe he'll lose his steam after a while.”

“Leave it to Mel to be the eternal optimist” - Cole said under his breath.

Meanwhile upstairs, I wasn't having the best time of my life...

“Elise – I thought you said you were single!”“I am! How dare you suggest otherwise! Do you think I'd be here with you right now if I wasn't?”“Then you don't know this guy?”“Well, I didn't say that...”

“Dude, what's your deal?” - I was starting to get annoyed.“Ricky, you need to come with me.”“H-how do you know my name?” - I had never met this guy, he barges into my room, insults me and knows my name? What in the world is going on!

I tried to be as quiet as possible on my way out the front door. I didn't need to suffer any more humiliation. But I didn't get off so easy, Mel's friend saw me in handcuffs

walking out the door.“Uh, Mel sweety, did your brother bang a minor?” - Great, it's one of the school mascots...“Neil! No! Gross!”“Then why's he being taken away in handcuffs?”“I have no idea, do I look like a psychic to you Neil? .. Don't answer that!”

Even though these simmies have no idea what's going on, we simmers definitely do. :D

That's right Ricky is now a member of the LFT Secret

Society.

So apparently Rishell is behind me being here – I

guess I hadn't really wanted to be apart of a Secret

Society, but there are some cute girls here... I'll just have

to play innocent for now though, and just casually

chat with them since Shell is here... I don't want to cause

a scene.

After my night with the LFT Society, I was ready for a night away from campus. I hadn't really thought about how much time I had been spending away from more

mature women like Sam. All of these college girls made me want a change.

So I headed to downtown Belladonna Cove. I met a really nice waitress there, but realized if I wanted to

continue dating women at this bar, I shouldn't date the bartender. Too bad, she was really cute too.

Soon after, another gorgeous red head walked in the door of the Loneshark Card Shack. I walked right up to her and introduced myself. Her name is Kitty, and she's

very outgoing herself. Before too long we found ourselves on an impromptu date.*

---*Ricky only had to chat with Kitty two times before he was able to ask her on a date. These two have a lot of chemistry.

I had a lot of fun with Kitty that night. I felt free to just be myself, let loose and have some fun. Kitty was fearless,

even though she doesn't have the best ear, she was belting out a duet with me at the karaoke machine.

Unfortunately my date with Kitty came to a premature end. Both Ms. Crumplebottom and Sam showed up at the Loneshark at the same time, so I had to end my date with

Kitty for fear of being smacked around by two different women for two different reasons!

---This picture of Ms. Crumplybutt cracks me up, I love that she's knitting and walking at the same time! Lol And fortunately I was able to cancel out Kitty and Ricky's date before Sam fully came on to the lot. So Sam is still in love with Ricky.

A few days passed and a woman between, I finally got a chance to call up Kitty and go on another date with her.

Things went perfectly and soon we were in love.

#7 – Jill #8 - Kitty

My next date on the other hand with the beautiful Lora got very rudely interrupted. Just after I kissed Lora for the

first time that stupid cow mascot came up and grabbed Lora on her behind! I couldn't believe that Lora would go

for a cow over me, I was furious!*---*The cow mascot flirted with Lora, and so instead of being Ricky's #9, they are now enemies.

I took that let down in stride and tried to get over Lora as

quickly as possible.

#11 - Penny

While I was wrapped up in my own little world, I barely noticed what Mel and Cole were up to. The other day

though, I saw Cole out in the garden and he told me that he can successfully grow eggplants now.*

---*Cole has maxed his gardening badges now.

Mel has been studying just as hard as ever, but it also seems she's made more time in her life for her friend

Jerry. Just the other night I heard things from her room that I never wanted to hear concerning Mel... and let's

just leave it at that.

Although I guess me overhearing Mel one time

is nothing compared to what I put my siblings

through.I've met some great

women lately.

So, I guess dating other women couldn't fully heal my ego. I really need to up Lora and make sure that what

happened between us was just a fluke...

#16 - Lora

I decided to just go for it and I gave her a hug kiss when she got to our house. I was ecstatic to not get any

resistance!---*With all of the gardening going on, they were able to make some juice out of strawberries so that Ricky wouldn't be furious with Lora anymore. So Lora is sweet 16.

#18 – Debbie #19 - Carmen

Now that I had things sorted out with Lora, I felt much more confident with other women. Loves number 17, 18 and 19 came and went quickly. I am only one love away from my

life's dream.

#20 - Marielle

The next day I met the beautiful Marielle. She and I hit it off very well. And before I knew it, I had done the

unthinkable – I had 20 women who were all in love with me. I knew that I would be happy for the rest of my life.*

#21 - Frances

Now that I have 20 women in love with me, I can't just stop now! I went on a date with a woman named Frances

the other night with great success.---Since Ricky has already become a Junior in college and I can't change his aspiration, I've decided to try for 30 loves and 30 woohoos. :D

#22 - Delia

I felt like I should being shouting “Don't stop me now” at the top of my lungs. I'm unstoppable! So that's what I did,

I decided to sing to my 22nd date down on one knee. Unsurprisingly we went to bed together shortly after.

The next morning as I held Delia in my arms I knew that this was different. She wasn't just another number in my

little black book.

She meant more to me than the others.

It was the beginning of my last semester of college, and I had a lot of things on my mind. A lot of things I didn't

want to think about... so instead of sitting around figuring out my life, I decided to continue on with what I knew how

to do best...

... distracting myself. I bet you thought I was going to say, “women”, but just because it happens to often be women, that I'm distracting myself with it doesn't mean

it's the only thing that I do in my spare time.

I garden sometimes, it's just boring to talk about, so I don't talk about it.

All of these distractions proved to be useful. The gypsy woman came by the other day and gave me a genie lamp! She said because I'm living life to the fullest, I

deserved even more fun.

I could get used to this.

#24 - Lindsay

Even though I was dating other women, I couldn't keep my mind off of Delia. There's just something about her that almost makes me feel badly for being with other

women.

So, this corrupted all of my sims files on that username on my computer. It took lots of patience, but with a

little support from the lovely people over at SiMania, I was able to rebuild. Above you can see my facsimile

of the McMania's college house. After I rebuilt the house, I boolpropped Ricky, Melinda and Cole back to where they were in school and with their social lives.

I'm mostly telling you all this because you may notice that in some of the last pictures from the college years,

the house may look a bit different. And now back to Ricky...

And this is where the sh*t hit the fan for hippielayla86. One night, in an attempt to “save” my computer

from a lightening storm, I pre-maturely shut down my computer – now this normally wouldn't be a

problem, but apparently sims game was still saving.

My freedom of college life was quickly running out. I

knew I couldn't continue on the way I have been here

once I'm moved back home with Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Grandma so I was doing a bit of marathon

dating.#27 – Lydia

#28 – Prof. Mona “A bit” may be a slight understatement. I just

can't help being so charming. Women just seem to come to me.

Plus... it helps me keep my mind off of moving

home.

#29 – Prof. Deidre

#30 - Kenya

It seems like only yesterday when I was a teenager, and I had my first girlfriend.... Kenya is my 30th girlfriend

and last, she thought she was here to tend our garden, but she ending up spending some time with me.

---Counting Kenya, Ricky has now accomplished two

romance impossible wants: 30 woohoos and 30 simultaneous lovers!

After Kenya went home, Melinda invited me inside for “dinner and a chat.” I could tell by looking at the lobster, that she was trying hard to butter me up...

“Ricky, let me be honest with you,I made you this dinner as an excuse to talk to you about something serious – your love life – ”

“Mel, don't try to understand it --”“Ricky, just hear me out! Both Cole & I are worried

about you, but we're even more worried about Mom, Dad, Grandpa and Grandma. What's going to happen when you go home from graduation and don't change your ways? Cole & I have been very tolerant of your girlfriends but the 'rents and our grandparents won't be.”

I'm well aware that I need to leave my fun at college....Besides, I think I could really benefit from some stabilitythat having one girlfriend would give me.”

“Oh Ricky! You've found the one to make you stop all of this nonsense haven't you?”

“Before you pack your bags and move home, your really need to weigh your priorities – our family or your girlfriends.”“Wow, you really don't have any idea do you? Do you really think that I'd want to hurt our parents and especially Grandpa and Grandma?

“Well, yes... but I haven't told her yet. I could tell ever since the first time we kissed that she was different from the rest. But I was too scared and pushed her away.”“Ricky, you've got to tell her how you feel! Call her tomorrow, invite her over, make her a nice dinner...”“Mel, you do realize you're giving me tips on something I'm well practiced on...”“No, you haven't proposed yet!”

“Neither have you, miss I'm in love with my best friend and haven't told him.”“Well, but I've thought about it lots...”“Mel, you know I appreciate this, but I've got things under control...”“If you say so Ricky.”

I couldn't hide anymore. I had a lot to finish up here at college and little time to do it in. I had to do the right thing and let all of my past lovers that that's all that they were... my past. I didn't want to have weight on my shoulders of a woman waiting for me, when I had no intention to be

with her.

It seems I'm not the only one avoiding the future. Mel has locked herself inside with the pottery wheel. While she's making really impressive pieces of pottery*, she's also

not calling over Garrett to tell him the way she truly feels.---*Mel has a gold badge in ceramics now. Isn't that pot awesome? I love that Maxis calls it the “ginormous jug” lol

After seeing how silly it was for Mel to stay pent up inside avoiding Garrett, I decided that tomorrow would be the day that I finally invite Delia over and tell her the truth

about how I feel.---Also, Ricky now has his gold gardening badge.

That next morning, I held true to my plan. I invited Delia over first

thing.And you know, this is the first time I've ever

been nervous on a date... I decided to go all out, I got her a rose, we took a picture together and then I made us a nice dinner for two.

As Delia and I sat down together for dinner I proposed a toast.

“So what are we drinking to Ricky?”“To my lovely beautiful wi-gi-girlfriend, you my dear.”“Ricky...?”“To us, to our futures, cheers” -- and with we clinked our glasses together.“Now Delia, there's something I've been meaning to ask you...”

“Delia, will you marry me and be my wife?”

“Oh Ricky of course I will! I thought you'd never ask me! I actually honestly thought you'd never even get married.”“Delia, you've made me the happier than I ever imagine anyone could be! You've made me see what I had been missing in life.”

Delia stayed over with me that night. And as a newly engaged man, I knew I had made the right decision.

Delia is exactly what I need in my life.

I don't know if I inspired Mel, or if it was simply coincidence, but when I woke up the next day there she

was out on the side walk sharing her first kiss with Garrett. As soon as Garrett left Mel came running inside

ecstatic. She and Garrett have decided that Mel will move in with him when she gets back home – I'm really

happy for them both!

Both Mel and I waited for the last possible moment to tell our loved ones how we felt. That same day a taxi came

to pick us up to take us all back home to Belladonna Cove.

The Spares Update

Life after college treated Cole very well. We didn't see much of him in the chapter because he spent all of his free time writing novels on the computer, blogging and

gardening. He sold 3 novels while in school.Since Cole gardened all of the time, he eventually joined the garden club and that's when he met and fell in love with Tiffany. They are now married and living in one of

the apartments in Belladonna Cove.

Since Cole and Tiffany can't have children of their own, they decided to adopt

Jesse. Jesse is now a toddler and while he's sort

of got some strange genetics, his parents adore him and spoil him to death.

Melinda did end up moving in with Garrett. She and Garrett got engaged pretty much the moment Mel walked

in the front door.

Since Mel is a family sim and Garrett is a fortune sim, I decided to throw them a wedding. Also, Mel was

Haleigh's favorite of the generation, so I wanted to make sure I gave Mel a very fitting happy ending for a family

sim.

All of Mel's family was there for the wedding, Sally and Ratna both toasted the new bride and groom. And the couple ended the wedding party with their first dance.

The party ended up being a roof raiser and avoided a very risky situation. Both Ricky's fiance Delia and his ex-girlfriend Penny (#11) were at the wedding party. I didn't realize that Penny was still there when the party started.

Luckily Ricky glued himself to the dj booth and didn't cause any trouble.

Very shortly after the wedding Garrett and Mel had twins. Claire and Isaac. Claire has Mel's Dad's and

grandmother's red hair while Isaac has his Dad's brown hair.

Garrett is a CAS creation of mine, so I took full advantage of giving him brown/red hair.

Since Mel was always in a platinum mood

because of her family, it wasn't long before

she got a genie lamp.With two of her three

wishes she decided to resurrect her family's

deceased cats, Mowgli and Baloo.

Grayson heard through the grapevine that Mel had resurrected his beloved cats and so he came over

immediately to see his long lost friends. That's when I decided to have Mel adopt a female kitten.

This kitten named Nala soon turned into a cat and had two kittens with Mowgli – Timon and Lady.

Being a family sim Mel naturally wanted to have more kids, so having 5 cats in one house wasn't an option. So

she invited Ricky over and gave him Baloo and the female kitten Lady.

It seemed all too soon that the toddlers' were having their birthday party.

The whole family was invited, and Sally and Ratna showered their affection on the two little rugrats.

Claire and Isaac both had strange chins as toddlers, so I was very happy when they grew up to be absolutely

adorable children.

Garrett and Mel had another son shortly after the twins' birthday whom they name Joe. The couple is also

currently expecting.

And now that you've seen the lives of the spares after college it's time for my first chapter of this duelacy to come to an end.I will be writing and posting my second chapter for this joint duelacy soon and then the family will be passed along again to the next person in line to play.

My second chapter will be completely devoted to Ricky, Delia and their future children.
