WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL

By Seneca, Niagara and Ayleen

Page 2: Rowan High School (test PP)

Hello we are students at Rowan High School in Rowan Ward. Rowan Ward is one of the many wards of Lena City. Lena City is the Capital City (and the largest city) of Lenmana (equivalent cities are Tokyo, Japan and New York

City, New York). We dedicate this video to any potential students.

Page 3: Rowan High School (test PP)

My name is Seneca Azure, third year student (to most others that means 12th grade). The other two are my cousin Niagara and our mutual friend

Ayleen Simself.

Page 4: Rowan High School (test PP)

I’m Niagara, also a third year student. I’m in our school uniform all Middle School and High students wear them here on Lenmana. Each school has it’s own distinct uniform for Rowan High School our colors are blue, green and purple. We have two sports/gym uniforms all with the same color scheme.

One uniform is for cooler weather the other is for warmer.

Page 5: Rowan High School (test PP)

Ayleen here! The third-third year student. Sorry for the weather but the forecast calls for rain. I still think we should have done this another day but

it’s due tomorrow morning. We were procrastinating.

Anyways onto the tour. Through the school gates we go into the bike racks. On Lenmana we try to be eco-friendly because of our history and culture. Even though there have been technological advances we still have some of our

roots. Most Middle and High School students walk or ride their bikes to school depending on where they live in comparison to the school. We do have trains and buses students use as well. It is rare that students have their own cars. (Considering Lenmanans can’t get their licenses until they are 18 anyway.)

Our School has these really cool pathways, although on the first floor its just a bunch of arches from one end to another. The upper floors have a

corridor that has windows on all sides. (we will get to that one later). Not all schools have these but our school is just that cool.

Its actually super common that students sit outside of the school on breaks and sometimes lunch. Most students bring their own lunches to school and normally we eat on our classrooms. But our school does have a lounge full

of tables and vending machines.

The very first place we go into in the school is the locker areas. We usually switch out our outdoor shoes for our indoor ones on regular school days. All students have the same type of light grey slipper. This is very common on

Lenmana, even at home we don’t wear our shoes inside our homes, we take them off in an enterance way.

After we switch out our shoes we go into the main Hallway. This first floor has all of the special classrooms: art room, shop, computer room, library,

music room, and also the nurse’s office the teacher’s room and the principal’s office are on this floor. There is a small classroom too in case a

student needs it.

Page 15: Rowan High School (test PP)

This is the computer room, it’s actually right across from the entrance. The computers are up to the latest technological updates.

On the other side of the school is the place where the teachers stay when they don’t have a class. In Lenmana, teachers move from room to room

while the students stay put, unless they need a special room. In that case the students will go to the specific room.

Page 26: Rowan High School (test PP)

The principal’s office is off of the teacher’s room.

Page 27: Rowan High School (test PP)

There is another door that leads from the teacher’s room to the nurse’s office. The nurse’s office also has a door to the hallway for easier access.

The nurse’s office also has its own private bathroom if a sick student really needs it.

Page 28: Rowan High School (test PP)

There is a bell every morning that tells students when they are supposed to be in their homerooms, which means the hallways are always crowded in

the morning.

Page 29: Rowan High School (test PP)

But that doesn’t always stop students from coming in late.

Page 30: Rowan High School (test PP)

The classrooms are set up with a lot of windows. Lena City is really hot and humid in late spring and summer. That also means its super cold in the

winter. It’s mid spring right now so its mostly rainy. Typhoon season is about now, luckily today is just light rain.

Page 31: Rowan High School (test PP)

The school year starts in Early April in Lenmana. Because that’s when spring starts (well in a way, technically spring starts March 21st, but that’s beyond the point.) We are in school until mid-July then we have our summer break until September. September to mid-December is the second term then winter break until January. The third term is

really short only going from January to March then the end of the school year is around March 14 (usually the second Friday in March, which varies depending on year). Any students who graduate will graduate the nearest Saturday. Then we have break until

April.

Page 32: Rowan High School (test PP)

This is our homeroom or the room for class 3-C. The students are usually separated between 3 homerooms to 6 homerooms depending on the size of the school and how many students. Rowan High School is kind of big so we have 5 homerooms per grade. Some schools number them by grade and

letter (1-A, 2-B, 3-C etc.) Other schools number them by grade and number (1-4, 2-5, 3-6 etc.)

Page 33: Rowan High School (test PP)

Many schools have this too. It’s an outer covered porch outside of the classrooms. This goes with the way the school is set up but most students

visit their friends classrooms or hang out on these.

Alright its almost time for school to start so we will be back later.

Page 40: Rowan High School (test PP)

Welcome back, school just let out and everyone is just finished up cleaning. Lenmanan schools don’t normally have janitors so the students clean them

up after classes are over. There are a couple schools that do have them, they aren’t common though. This is supposed to teach responsibility and to

work as a team. By the way this is the windowed corridor that was mentioned earlier.

Page 41: Rowan High School (test PP)

It goes all the way through to the next building. Students often hang out here too. It had stopped raining the last period before cleaning, it seems

that there will be more later though.

We are going to take the pathway instead to the other building. Afterschool activities start soon after cleaning.

Page 44: Rowan High School (test PP)

This is the vending machine/table area in the next building. The next building is a bit different. You can wear regular shoes in the gym and the

food areas but if you go upstairs where the other classrooms are you have to switch them out for the slippers.

Page 45: Rowan High School (test PP)

Looks like the Basketball Club has practice today.

Page 46: Rowan High School (test PP)

The Soccer Club is practicing as well.

Student Council meeting upstairs.

Page 48: Rowan High School (test PP)

There are some students in the Home Economics room working on their cooking skills.

Page 49: Rowan High School (test PP)

The Science Club usually works on Homework and creates experiments here. There is actually more than one science lab in the school.

Page 50: Rowan High School (test PP)

There are a few other classrooms in the second building, although the smaller ones are more often used for storage.

Page 51: Rowan High School (test PP)

As for us, we have swimming practice so we had to run to the changing room.

Page 52: Rowan High School (test PP)

There are mostly girls in the swimming club. That poor lone boy, honestly though he is a fantastic swimmer.

Page 53: Rowan High School (test PP)
Page 54: Rowan High School (test PP)

Later, the students gathering in the gymnasium after club activities. Sometimes we have things going on in here: school festivals, contests,

plays and musicals and other school activities. You don’t need to wear the slippers in the gymnasium.

Page 55: Rowan High School (test PP)

Today the Drama Club is rehearsing for their play, just a stage rehearsal, the dress rehearsal isn’t for a couple weeks. Just the students only, but it

was a lot of fun to watch.

Page 56: Rowan High School (test PP)

The gymnasium is used as a theatre, all of the seats are in storage. We also have the first and last day of school speeches in here. Although in that case

students usually stand or sit in rows on the gym floor.

Page 57: Rowan High School (test PP)

After a long day at school it’s time to head home.

Page 58: Rowan High School (test PP)

I hope you enjoyed the video brochure of our school.
