Narrative

The documentary starts with the Newyork Dolls and how Bob Groen had been their photographer at the highest point in their careers. It then explored all of the work he had done over the years. During the end of the documentary it was showing

why he had retired and stopped doing the job he loved so much due to all of the bands breaking up and getting older.

Editing

Throughout the documentary fade in/out’s were used when looking at the pictures and mainly simple transitions besides two times in the documentary where a film strip flashed across three pictures and when the picture was individually shown as shown on the right.

Zoom in and outs were used when showing the pictures as this looked effective and made it more interesting for the audience rather than looking at a still image.

Camera Angles

Throughout the documentary standard camera work was used.

Achieve footage

The achieve footage was all of the pictures he had taken over the course of his career but no video footage.

The interview locations don't detract from what the people are talking about as all of the backgrounds are plain and mostly relate to what they are talking about as when Blondie is being interviewed she is in a recording studio which looks effective.

Although the documentary is mixed it doesn’t have a narrator or reconstructions.
