Rock and roll (often written as rock & roll or rock 'n' roll) is a genre of popular music that originated and evolved in the United States

during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily from a combination of African-

American genres such as blues, jump blues, jazz, and gospel music, together with

Western swing and country music. Though elements of rock and roll can be heard in

blues records from the 1920s and in country records of the 1930s, rock and roll did not

acquire its name until the 1950s.

• Reggaeton (also reggaeton) is a musical genre from the Jamaican reggae with influences of hip hop, which developed first in Latin America in the 1970s and mid-1980s, is born and arises from the Jamaican community whose ancestors arrived in Panama, with immigrants of Afro-Caribbean during the twentieth century.

• Reggaeton originated from its predecessor the Spanish reggae. After this event continued to be maintained reggaeton as reggae from Jamaica with the same instruments and the same voice melodies but with different lyrics. While in Puerto Rico were used rap bases but with different lyrics and compositions.

• Reggaeton originated in Panama during the 1980s. He began as a version of Jamaican reggae to the Spanish language and culture and was sung by Panamanian Panamanian of African origin. The General is called the "father of reggaeton" which had the ability to combine with Jamaican reggae Latinized version. The foundation of reggaeton began in Brooklyn, New York, in the late 1980s by the Panamanian producer Michael Ellis Own New Creation Entertprises where born Edgardo Franco known as The General. The term "reggaeton" was first introduced by producer Michael Ellis in Puerto Rico in 1988 as a way of describing the Spanish reggae. In 1990 was held in New York for the first time the participation Jamfest reggaeton reggae artists known as Nicodemus, Roman Stewart, Dobby Dobson and Red Fox

• The lyrics of reggaeton are characterized by relying on rhyme to make the song is easy to identify. This rhyme style is also inspired by the Jamaican dancehall raggamuffin and, though mostly in rap. The themes of the lyrics from a source of social criticism are. Don OmarWilliam Omar Landrón Rivera (born February 10, 1978 in Villa Palmeras, Puerto Rico 1), better known as Don Omar, is an entrepreneur, music coordinator and Puerto Rican reggaeton singer. It was one of those charged along with Daddy Yankee and Wisin y Yandel popularize the reggaeton in Latin America, Spain and several countries in non-Spanish speaking in the 2000s with singles such as "Say", "Dale Don dale", "Although you left "and" snore ". He also serves on genres like salsa, merengue, electronic music, bachata, among others.
