Question 1 + 2• Question 1 - I handed them out equally across females and

males, meaning 10 females and 10 males completed my questionnaire.

• Question 2 - I had a range of people from different age groups in the target audience complete them; I ended up with 7 from the 16 to 18 year old category, 8 from the 19 -21 year old category, and 5 from the 22 - 24 year old category. This was so I could get an overall view of each age group.

Question 3

• For question one I asked the participants where they got there income from. This is an important question because I needed to find out if my target audience had enough disposable income to see my film.

• From this pie chart I can see that the majority of people get there income from there parents of a part time job. This means that my target audience should be able to access my film.

Question 4• I asked this question to find out if people actually visit the cinema

during there free time, 8 out of the 20 people I asked said they did go to the cinema. This will help me when deciding where to put my films in cinemas.

Question 5

• This question was to find out where people consume there media from.

• This question could help me when advertising my film because now I know that most of my target audience watch TV because 16 answered with TV and 19 answered that they use the Internet, so these would be the places to advertise.

• However only 4 people answered with cinema, showing that it is not a main source of media and is maybe only a once in a while thing to do.

• As well as this though, it shows where I can make my film viewable, for example I could use an Internet based website like Netflixs to play my film, or use Film channels on the TV like film 4.

Question 6

• I left question 6 as an open question so that people could answer how they like. However I got similar answers from most people. The most common answer I received was that they enjoy media because it was entertaining. Other people answered that it was something relaxing to do in my free time. My film will not be relaxing because it is a thriller film creating tension, so my film will have to entertaining for people to watch it.

Question 7• I thought this question was important to include because

people can express how they wanted the media to change and it may have been something I could include in my film. Some people answered that they would like entertainment to cheaper and easier to access, I was given the example, cinema prices. Although I cannot change the cinema prices, I could make my film cheaper on DVD.

Question 8• This question was about which actors or actresses people like

to see in there films. I got a good mixture of different people, from Chris Hemsworth to Anne Hathaway. This will help me when deciding who to put in my film and I will be able to keep in mind who my target audience wants to see.

Question 9• I pitched my idea to people filling in the questionnaire and I asked them to

rate it on a scale of 1 to 10. My highest score was 9 to 10. However I mostly got a score of 5 to 6 and 7 to 8 as they got a joint total of 8.

• This will help me because it lets me know what people think of my film at this stage.

Question 10• This question leads on from question 9, because I asked

people how they would improve my film. I mainly got the answer of adding more violence and gore to make it scarier; however this answer mainly came from the boys that answered the questionnaire. If I was to add more gore and violence, this would give it a hybrid or horror.

• Another interesting answer I got was to make the main character female and not male. But this would go against the main conventions of the thriller genre.
