Front Cover

Sophisticated font used for ‘DJ Talk’ main cover line. The slight tilt added dynamic where as ‘BAMM’ was relatively large and centre.

The masthead of both came above the images however ‘DJ Talk’s did more so making it eye catching.

I chose to spread out my cover lines for my music magazine ‘DJ Talk’ compared to that of ‘BAMM’ this allowed my main image to be the vocal point of the magazine and link well to the main cover line as it is related to the main article/double-page spread.

The use of a sky line was influenced by other magazines I looked at and helped my audience identify what it included.

The flasher used her is very basic and doesn’t include a lot of colour or variation of text therefore it does grab the audience’s attention.

My cover lines here were very wordy, whereas on my music magazine they are short and catchy.

Editing the background added flare to my magazine represented the genre and purpose of it well.

Contents PageIncluding more images in my music magazine gave my readers something to look and broke up the text.

In my music magazine I used clear subheadings and boxes so that my contents list could easily be identified.

The flasher in my Preliminary task is very basic and lacks a page number this would then make it difficult for my audience to identify where I can find it in my magazine.

My page numbers on my music magazine were a lot larger and I felt this worked well so my readers could clearly see the page number and navigate around the magazine.
