Question 3 – What have you learned from your audience feedback? To gain feedback on my productions, I posted links to all my productions and 2 questionnaires on three social networking sites: Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. I targeted both males and females in the age bracket of 16-24, as this was the target audience for my music video. A strength of this method of gaining feedback was that it allowed me to collect a high amount of quality data in a short period of time, giving me the chance to evaluate the data and act on the feedback received. On the contrary, a negative point of using this method of gaining feedback is that I cannot be 100% certain that I have only gathered data from my target group, and some of the participants may not have been entirely truthful in their responses.

Number of Responses

I was delighted with the responses for the first question, as the results show that all of the participants rated 3 or above, and the rating with the most responses was 5 (the highest rating). As for comparing the results from each gender, the higher ratings came from the male audience, which did not surprise me due to the artist being male himself.

The results for question 2 were similar to question 1, again showing that the male audience found the video to hold their attention more than the female audience. This, again, could be due to the gender of the artist.

The majority of the responses for question 3 were positive, however there was a slightly negative rating from one male. This could be due to the fact that many of my participants were either A Level Media Studies students or film degree students, and so they have more awareness of camera work and editing than a usual audience would.
