PRODUCTION BRIEFBy Karishma Thakeria
PROJECT NAME
Our project name is going to be called “Ready or Not” and our catchphrase that is going to be displayed towards the end of our opening sequence is: “Ready or not, here I come!”
We thought this would be catchy as a title as it is the catchphrase for the game: “Hide & Seek”. Along with this, the title and catchphrase both relate to the storyline of our opening sequence.
LENGTH/DEADLINE
The length of our opening sequence will only be two minutes long
The deadline for our production is the 6th of November, this will give us enough time to film and edit the whole production.
GROUP MEMBERS/ROLES
Simran Kabotra: Director
Turiga Kanapathippilai: Camerawoman
Karishma Thakeria: Editor
BRIEF OVERVIEW
There is a stalker that is trying to capture this young girl. He enters the house at night whilst she is asleep and walks slowly upstairs. The girl wakes up from a nightmare and goes to the bathroom to splash water on her face. She walks nervously downstairs and the lights start to flicker. She opens the living room door to see the stalker sitting on the chair polishing his weapon. The stalker then aims the weapon (e.g. a gun) at the girl and the scene goes blank. A bullet is heard in the background and a child is heard saying: “ready or not, here I come”.
TARGET AUDIENCE/ SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS
The target audience for our production is 15+ (15-25 year olds) and is aimed at both genders.
The socio-economic status that our production will be aimed at are from groups A-E. This is because our target audience starts at age 15 and over. As most teenagers of this age are unemployed and do not earn, this is why we have decided to start from socio-economic group E because our target audience starts from 15+. People over this age category will also fit into the categories A-E whether they are employed or not.
POSSIBLE SCHEDULING/PUBLISHING SUGGESTIONS
Our production will be able to preview on television channels such as Film4 and Sky Movies under the genre: Thriller. It will also be able to preview on Channel 4 as this channel also previews several movies during the week under a variety of genres.
