We asked 20 members of the public what gender they were to see which were more interested in horror/thriller films, our results show males were more interested as 11 males answered compared to 9 females, however there wasn’t a big difference between both so it shows our sequence appeals to both genders.

We asked 20 members of the public how old they are, we had 17 people come back with there age group varying from 15-17 and 3 people came back with there age group being 18+. This helped us made a decision of what age group will mainly be watching our production.

After watching the production we asked our members what genre they thought our trailer was. We had 3 people come back saying it was Horror, 1 person said it was Action and 16 people said it was Thriller, having the majority say it was Thriller meant that we reached our target of getting it to a Thriller.

After our members watched the production we asked if they would like to see the rest of the film, 3 of them replied no because they found the trailer quite boring whereas 17 of them said yes as they were intrigued by the trailer and wanted to see more of the film to see what happened as it ended in a cliff hanger.

Our members which answered our questionnaire then decided which component was most significant, 4 people said the camera shots were most significant, 7 said lighting and 9 said sound; sound played a big role in our production as the sound made the production scarier and emphasized the genre more.

Most of our members voted for our professionalism to be either a score 6,7 or 8; there reasons because of this is because they felt the camera shots and the quality of the video made it look more professional.

Most of our members which we questioned said that the age category of the film was suitable for the film yet 1 said no; there reason because of this was they felt the film wasn’t scary enough and that someone aged 12 would be able to watch it.

The majority of the members of which we questioned said that we portrayed the thriller genre well whereas 5 said average and 1 said barely; there reason for this is because they felt that the production wasn’t scary enough to reach a thriller.

After questioning our 20 members the feedback we got was that males and females would both be appealed to the film, there reasons because they thought that there was a balance between everything which would appeal females and males.

Most of the members we questioned gave feedback that the sound was the strength, they felt that without the sound the film wouldn’t of been that scary. They also voted Editing as one of the strengths due to the change of the colour of the film and the transitions.

Most of the members we questioned gave feedback that the production wasn’t scary enough to reach a thriller, they also voted that the actors weren’t scary enough and didn’t put act as well as they could of.
