Pitch Title of film Red Mountain. The reason for using this title is that one of our scenes will be shot on a ski resort mountain and the word red is in front of it as the word red gives the connotations of anger emotion and aggression all of which is shown through the character of Detective Kennedy in the film Plot synopses An emotional journey sees Detective Kennedy show his struggle to come to terms with his recent unemployment in a mind-gripping story based of true events Type Of Noir The opening sequence of our film will be a modern day film noir, which will set the storyline and give the audience an insight into the mind and emotions of Detective Kennedy with the enigma of who the masked murder is heard in the radio broadcast When Set The film will be set in a modern society with modern props set in the year 2012. We have chosen two suitable locations for our opening sequence one will be set in the UK in a modern family living room with all of the modern technologies expected to be seen such as televisions. The second location is a foreign location located on a mountain in a ski resort, which sets the scene and hooks the audience into the film. Primary Location Our primary location will be filmed in Detective Kennedy’s living room located in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. Pictures of our location call be seen in our call sheet and test footage can be seen on our blog Narrative Structure Our opening sequence starts with a black screen and will last approximately 20 seconds during this black screen our group name will appear saying “Demoko Studies Presents” and will stay on the screen for 5 of the 20 seconds the black screen will be shown. Also during the black screen a radio can be heard starting with what sounds like a person trying to find a certain radio station as static electricity sound can be heard fading into a radio broadcast where the following dialogue will be used… Another murder investigation is under way following the discovery of a man's body in an alley close to the new york police station. This has been the 4 th murder in a period of two weeks. Police are still yet to comment on this turn of events. In other news Detective Kennedy has been suspended from work through a breach of this contract when the detective broke his leg in a skiing accident we are now going to get a statement from the detectives colleague detective jones. “

Half way through this radio broadcast a montage of images will appear which will show numerous dead bodies to engage and hook the audience as they are blissfully unaware to what has happened Fade in scene As the scene fades in we can see the Detective in a wheelchair and slowly wheeling over to his mantelpiece, reaching up for the radio and hurls the radio to the floor after reaching up to grab it. We will add emphasis of the radio crashing to the ground. (Turns TV on and news broadcast is just starting about to mention same news just heard on radio) Detective flashes back to skiing slow-motion twixtor effect fades out to top left detective shakes his head to end day dream Edited By Michael Hutchinson Directed by Gareth Owens Characters Character One Name: Danial Kennedy Age: 17 Gender: Male Character Two Name: Michael Hutchinson Age: 18 Gender: Male Costume Danial will be wearing a suit to fit the conventions of a film noir including black blazer, black shoes, tie and trousers. Our inspiration for this came from watching many different film noir films and taking the main concepts from this. 4. Creative techniques (detail how you intend to film your opening discussing composition, use of conventions and creating enigmas)

We will film in a ski resort in France for the first part of the film this fits the convention as there will be accident which will affect the characters future. There is also the use of a convention in the next scene as the crippled detective is wearing a suit.

5. Finally discuss possibly funding/distribution issues surrounding your ideas.

.Our film was funded by private independent organization which paid for the

filming at the ski resort the only issue with the distribution of our film is that we are releasing independently meaning that it would only be available in a certain amount of cinemas so not as many people are going to see it
