b ased on the award-winning book by Arlene Dubanevich, Pig William is a seven year-old radiant pink piglet with the curiosity of 101 cats. He shows the wonder in the everyday, the impossible as plausible! His insatiable curiosity and wild imagination works on every little thing that crosses his path and leads him—and his poor friends and family—to places he never imagined existed. And always valuable lessons are learned about life—sometimes the hard way. Pig William is a “poet”—he always sees relations in things, and out of that come new things—a funny shaped bowl becomes his fire hat and soon he is a fire chief making a daring rescue—saving a kitten from a burning inferno; or he is with the space shut- tle Atlantis—out in space repairing the Hubbell telescope. There are no thought balloons, no wavy cross-dissolves—there he is—sailing the seas with the Vikings! Doors are to be opened, holes to crawled into. Pig William has nature, the environment, computers, TV and video, and to him, there is nothing more fascinat- ing than the old two-story home where he lives, with attic and basement to explore in. He could be in the basement digging for pirates’ buried treasure, or making friends with a mouse. Eventually the trouble begins. Usually a crash or scream will alert the family that William is at it again, or a strange quietness will be their warning. To keep up with his dazzling combination of curiosity, imagination and determination can test anybody to their limits. Yet, through it all, Pig William always demonstrates to viewers a sense of wonder about the world, and all its possibilities! Produced by Imagery Film, Ltd.
