Classics ,which were founded in 1998. The first production of Paramount Classics was Trekkies.

• Paramount vantage is the specialty film division of Paramount Pictures. Paramount Vantage is located in Paramount Studios in LA.

• In 2006, the Paramount Vantage brand branched off from Paramount Classics, which was re launched in 2007 as a distributor of smaller, review-driven films including foreign-language acquisitions.

• Paramount Vantage is one of many film labels which are in a sub division to Paramount.

Other Film labels which are in the sub division are Paramount Pictures, MTV Films; Nickelodeon Movies; and specialty film labels and Paramount Classics

• In addition, the Studio will continue to release a number of films under the DW label. Paramount also has established distribution deals with iconic comic book creator, Marvel Entertainment and renowned animated film producer, DreamWorks Animation.

• There were two founders of Paramount vantage these include David Dinerstein and Ruth Vitale. The owners of Paramount Vantage is Viacom. Viacom are an American media conglomerate with interests primarily in, cinema and Television Production.

• There are two key members of Paramount vantage these include the president John Lesher and the co-president Nick Myer.

• The Company’s global business operations include Paramount Digital Entertainment, Paramount Famous Productions, Paramount Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures International, Paramount Licensing Inc., Paramount Studio Group and Worldwide Television Distribution.

Paramount Vantage have also made one film that belongs to the war genre and that is the film defiance. Paramount Vantage’s main genre that they create films for are drama and comedy films as you can see from the list in the slide before.Paramount Vantage have also used plenty of hybrids and sub genres such as; romcom, drama comedy, tragic comedy, supernatural horror, crime thriller and British drama.

From the films I have researched in the previous slides, there are not many relationships between Paramount Vantage and the filmmakers/producers, this could indicate that there have been no second part to films made and that no sequels have been made for the films above and if they have been made then there has been a different director and producer used.

We are able to understand this as they have made plenty of films within the two genres. However you could argue that they also make very good films in the thriller genre as their film ‘no country for old men’ won the Oscar for best film in 2008 and this prestigious award is definitely something that would communicate that the film company has made a good film within the horror genre. finally we can also gather from other research that Paramount Vantage makes low budget films.
