MUSIC VIDEO FEEDBACK

This question only required a simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answer as it was fairly straight forward. If the answer was ‘No’ I offered the chance to elaborate and give suggestions as to why this was. Luckily, this wasn’t the case and out of a possible 10 people, 10 responded saying ‘Yes’ which was extremely satisfying.

This ‘Prompt’ styled question allowed a more specially positive response to the question.

As you can the general outcome was that ‘the overall video was really good’ and also the humour and creativity was a huge hit

This question was answered by a variety of different ages ranging from 8-70+. As you can see everyone agreed with our intentions of the video being aimed at the youthful population but later, all ages were able to admire the humour attempting to be implemented

There was a wider variety of responses for this question as young males may tend to give a good response to the audience or ‘suiting the role’ or being ‘good looking’

The most frequent answers overall were the fact that the lip syncing was extremely accurate and also being young looking teenagers themselves, it was very easy for them to communicate to the audience (especially target audience)

We asked this prompt question as we were hesitant to what the audience reaction would be and fortunately it turned out to be a great triumph.

With the main aim of this shot to be humorous and creative, it is clear the audience recognised this attempt and also the fact that it is slightly different to anything they might have seen previously

The GoPro cameras aim is to show a point of view shot that is not normally demonstrated in music videos and it is clear that the effort in making it personal was evident and also accomplished very well.

I tried to add a little humour into this question with the ratings being ‘terrible’ and ‘best ever’. Clearly it was a use of hyperbole, but this didn’t stop the audience from answering in a serious manner. With 80% choosing 8-10 , it is clear that the hard efforts with rehearsing our lyrics paid off as it seemed to look very accurate.

We used 6 different locations including a lounge, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, field and alleyway. For a music video to be as effective as possible it is said that a minimum of 3 locations should be used, so the audience agrees with the variety of locations used.

In order to gain points for future references, we offered the chance for further suggestions. Coincidently, some mentioned that nothing was necessary, but the majority mentioned that either the lip syncing need to be more accurate or reduced and replaced with more acting. Also the reduction of the 3rd character might have been more effective and maybe for the males out there, a female figure.
