IPC media

IPC is the UK’s leading magazine and digital publisher consumed by the public. IPC magazinesfor formed 1968 (now IPC media) but the history of the company goes back to 1799.. They are an international company that distribute to all over the world and 25million theirportfolios get distributed across europe. “What’s on TV” – self-explanatory “nuts” –pornographic magazine “super bike” – magazine about race motorbikes and othermotorbike related things are the types of magazines they produce. An Ipad app “wallpaper Design Directory” NME MAGAZINE IPC media produce somevery mainstream magazines and also niche. In covering both types of market, it creates acontradictive market where it is covering all the consumers needs therefore it ismainstream.

Bauer media They are a division of the Bauer media group. Bauer is Europe’s largest privately owned published

group. They were established in 1875 and offer over 300 magazines in 15 countries as well as online. These are a selection of magazines they produce world wide: Closer, Empire, Kerrang& Zoo. Bauer media is a multi platform cooperation that is divided into radio and magazine

production.

Emap

• Emap Owns the leading brands that link in with retail, health, construction, architecture and fashion. Emap media was established in 1947. In March 2012, the company announced that it would be renamed Top Right Group, and that its magazines, events and data businesses would be separated into three standalone companies. The Emap name will continue to be used for the magazines operation, which at the time accounted for around 18 percent of the group's turnover.

• Each of their magazine are consumer specific. But they offer a wide varriety of magazines to the public so i couldn’t say they are a niche market. Especially due to their revenue per year which is over £1.154 BILLION.

Future PLC

• Future PLC is an international media group. They were founded in 1985 with one magazine, today they have operations in UK, US & Australia creating over 200 specialist publications, apps, events and websites. Our most successful products include TechRadar (the UK’s number one consumer technology website), T3,Total Film, BikeRadar, MusicRadar, Classic Rock, GamesRadar, Digital Camera and Mollie Makes.

• Ipc media, reason being is because i think they are the most globalised multiplatform international group and would benefit the production and process of my magazine

effortlessly. They would definitely be a main player in the company as they cover a large sector of the music industry and would have a great amount of knowledge and skills that

would be required to excel.
