Camera Angles
Establishing shot
Usually outside showing where the action is going to take place.
Close-Up
Shows characters emotions.
Long shot
A shot that shows the whole character in full focus,
Extreme long shot
Shows the setting of the thriller.
Low angle shot
From below actor/building to show importance.
High Angle shot
From above the actor/ building to show lack of importance or showing looking down on someone.
Wide Angle shot
To show wider view of all character or scene.
Framing shot
Using a piece of set or scenery to frame the shot.
Point of View shot
Through the eye of the character.
Two shot
When there are two characters in the shot.
Over the Shoulder shot
A shot filmed from over the characters shoulder.
There are many more camera angles but these are the
more commonly used.
