Social Class

The audience for my magazine would be in the middle class because then it doesn’t exclude the lower or the upper class. People do not have to be in a certain social class to read my magazine however, most magazines already in the industry target middle classed people because people relate them to pop. Upper class people are much more posh so people relate them to things like opera. Whereas people in lower class are usually related to reading with country music or hip hop music because they usually have a harder up bringing than most.

Age

The age which I am aiming my magazine at is 14-17, so I used a model who was in that age range. I did this so that they could relate to the audience. Also, I used this age range because I believe that teenagers are the most likely source of pop magazines sales so I focused on targeting it to this specific audience.

Gender

The gender I have chosen to be my audience for my magazine is females. Research shows that females buy pop magazines more frequently than males. Even though I have used a male model for my magazine I think this will appeal more to girls. I used bright colours and bold shapes to show that I am aiming more towards females.

Ethnicity

I haven't targeted a specific ethnic group because I think that the genre Pop can be read by anyone. In my magazine there are no specific characteristics which suggest that it is aimed at a certain ethnicity. All ethnicity's can read my magazine if they want.

Lifestyle

My audiences lifestyle would be very stereotypical. My audience would be a very feminine girl who like shopping and makeup. Also, they will want to use the magazine as inspiration when there older and they will inspire to be like some of the pop stars featured in my magazine.
