In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? (i.e. of film openings)

• The movie is a spoof of the film pumping iron it does not follow it but it’s the reason I started the film with an interview then straight to the gym.

• Also I watched a few YouTube spoofs of people up the gym for ideas and took note of what works and what can be funny.

• I also watched a few TV programmes like The office in America as its meant to be realistic however its still staged but I like how it flows from interviews to accidents

How does your media product represent particular social groups ?

• In are film we were trying to represent a group who goes to the gym thinking they are the best there and believe they are of a higher skill then everyone else.

• We made the people we were trying to be weak and clueless and only succeed by having a group of friends who help each other support them.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

• I like Castle Rock Entertainment as the mock documentaries they do are similar in the way of who they make fun of. Castle Rock Entertainment is an American film and television production company founded in 1987. They have done movies like Miss

Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (a spoof of women in beauty pageants)

Dracula: Dead and Loving It (a spoof of Dracula with the great late Leslie Nielsen)

Best in Show (about a dog show)

Who would be the audience for your media product?

• People who go to the gym and regularly see the people we play. And can understand the things that we do in the movie.

• And it could also be seen by those people that do the things we have shown and could be seen as funny and relatable.

How did you attract/address your audience?

• We try to make it as jokey as possible so people who watch the movie beginning do not get offended.

• Also by using an everyday thing for some like the gym it makes it more human and realistic as we tried to relate to those people who understand

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

• I have learnt new things on a camera and how to use them such as the underwater mode and fisheye

• I have also started to improve at editing and have a brooder understanding of the whole thing

Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

• By filming I have learnt many new camera angles and have a better understanding of when and how to use them.

• Editing is another thing i have improved on over that time period as at the start I was clueless and now have an improved understanding
