February 04, 2007 - Bellagio hosts 30 and under Movers and Shakers ‘Glowing’ event at Light Nightclub [email protected] Who’s Got Juice? Last Sunday, I ventured out to the Bellagio eager to check out the 30 and under “Movers and Shakers Party”. It was being thrown by the guys at 'Spy On Las Vegas', and hosted by the ever so charming media darlings -‘The Light Group’. Curiosity was the driving force for me to attend this event. I wanted to know what the people of my age group were up to. It’s a pretty major feat to be considered any type of player on the Las Vegas scene. There are so many entrepreneurs, hustlers, and real estate moguls that make up a majority of the population in the desert. The individuals invited to this party were hard workers in a legitimate way. This group and generation are moving into the forefront, molding, and shaping our society with new ideas. They have the focus and motivation to be successful making it their own way. For those of you who may not be familiar with Light nightclub, it’s located inside the awesome Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Each month the Bellagio changes the scenery with stunning displays (not just the casino hotties). The exhibit for the night of ‘Who’s Got Juice” dazzled me. It was a replica of the Emperor’s Imperial Garden, which was absolutely gorgeous. On the left of the walkway sat a 50’ foot pink pig, encrusted with crystals, and a shiny red apple sitting in its mouth. There were lotus blossoms in the garden decorated with bigger than life diamonds (a girl’s best friend, and ultra sexy)! So the gardens lifelike details and inspiring presentation took a lot of vision to create. Light Night club captured that same thought. They gathered stellar movers and the shakers born after 1977, for a party that didn’t stop until the sunrise forgot the stars. The energy at the club that night was absolutely vicious (in a good way). Charisma was circulating around, for a moment I got lightheaded and thought I was partying with the Hollywood Elite. Ironically, the VIP listed ‘movers and shakers’ much mirrored young Hollywood’s mindset. The Entourage was in tact, picturesque babes hanging from their wallets (I meant arms). Tables were packed with the big spenders popping bottles of only the best champagne, and living the night up to the fullest. You would think with the career driven clientele, a display of egotism and arrogance would be oozing from their Type A pores, but this certainly was not the case. This

Who’s Got Juice?

Last Sunday, I ventured out to the Bellagio eager to check out the 30 and under “Movers and Shakers Party”. It was being thrown by the guys at 'Spy On Las Vegas', and hosted by the ever so charming media darlings -‘The Light Group’. Curiosity was the driving force for me to attend this event. event was a celebration. Go Go dancers worked those poles in Victoria Secret Lingerie. Resident DJ Crooked played the right music to keep the crowd enticed. With all the elements involved, this looked like one long rap video. I caught myself nodding my head to the music. I got really tempted to join everyone on the dance floor, but hey, I was there for other reasons.

I ran into a photographer from 504 Magazines that pointed me in the right direction, and introduced me to absolutely fabulous Jake Seedy, who was a very gracious host. I was able to snag a picture of Abby Tegnelia, who wasn’t in the mood to strike a pose. It was ironic to see someone so accomplished on the human side. No one wants to take a picture towards the end of night when your hairs all fallen, eyeliner a little smudged, and lipstick no longer existing. But, she looked beautiful anyway. Just a little background on Abby - she was recently named the new Editor and Chief of Item Magazine, and has worked at New York Magazine, and also US Weekly (just to name a few of the magazines on her impressive resume). One article in particular touched on the term ‘Girl’ coming back in style. In essence the article reflected on how this word actually represents a lifestyle; a new interpretation of young modern women that are single, successful, and independent. It was refreshing that Abby wasn’t that thrilled to giggle and smile for the camera, because she really didn’t have to. She was there as a respected journalist, not just a chick in the hot guys black book.

Andrew Wilson - Casino Host at the Wynn

Next, Jake introduced me to Andrew Wilson, who was not at all shy in front of the camera, and currently is the Casino Host of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. Andrew was sitting on top of one of the couches in the VIP section, and was handed a 'Spy On Las Vegas' gift bag, which he showed off in the picture. There were other guests on the list I wasn’t able to run into, because they were spread all over the place like a kid in a candy store.

Everyone at Light was full of life. Despite their driven accomplishments at such a young age, you could still glimpse a hint of their inner 5 year old still loving to come out and play. This was an impressive bunch of peeps, and I really enjoyed myself that night. It will be interesting to see what other accomplishments this group will be up to in the near future.
