Jim is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Bearing Entertainment and focuses on developing feature films as the Executive Producer and Producer and overseas the acquisition, packaging, due diligence, structuring, operations and management of each film project and specializes in reducing investment risk through a variety of tax incentives available to independent film production but are often overlooked.
Prior to founding Bearing Entertainment, Jim was Founder & CEO of Alliantgroup building it from a 4 person firm to the largest tax credit & incentive firm in the US and employs numerous former US Senators, Congressman, Governors & former IRS leaders. Jim sold Alliantgroup to Evercore Partners, a NY private equity firm headed up by Roger Altman, Deputy Secretary of the Treasury under President Clinton in 2006.
Jim’s goal is to do to the independent film industry with what he achieved in the consulting business by “productizing” all the business elements in developing a feature film; thereby, creating a structure that produces more content with less budget.Jim is also founder and CEO of a private investment firm with ownership interest in operating companies, oil & gas, real estate, and other capital ventures. Jim has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial experience founding, building and exiting successful companies. Jim practiced as a CPA at the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche focusing his practice in the areas of international tax, corporate tax advisory and tax credits & incentives.

Prior to joining Bearing Entertainment, Larry worked with Jim at Alliantgroup, heading up the national sales efforts. Larry and Jim increased Alliantgroup’s gross sales and profitability by 300% in less than a year via the build out of a National CPA partner channel. During their first year working together, they took a 4 person firm to over 40 employees. With this foundation, Alliantgroup continued unprecedented growth to quickly become the largest tax credit and incentive firm in the US. Prior to Alliantgroup, Larry served as a Director for myCFO, Inc. As the manager of the National Sales Team, he worked with Senior Management on the design and rollout of holistic, best-in-class, solutions for the Ultra Affluent. Prior to myCFO, Larry was a Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche. As part of a national tax-consulting group, he focused on providing tax planning for Fortune 500 companies across the country. Larry also spent time at KPMG and Ernst & Young. He brings his 20 plus years of experience to the entertainment industry in working with high-net worth individuals in matching up their investment with tax planning an incentives for the film industry.
Larry is the President of Bearing Entertainment, LLC bringing over 20 years of experience working with high net worth individuals in tax strategy and wealth management. Larry is responsible for spearheading investor relations, corporate operations and development activities, and growing alternative platforms and operating company acquisitions.
