This shot is of my overall initial ideas mind map. I shall go through each point during this PowerPoint.

This piece of my mind map is to show the things in which I know I 100% wish to include. For example, I want my video to reflect and be relatable to the lyrics instead of completely going against them. The idea about the embers came from a discussion I had with a friend while listening to the song in which we both agreed that it would look good if you could have a burst of fire at the

very last beat, but as we are not trained pyrotechnics we said for a small scale version to just use embers.

The idea for the self-hate storyline came to me as I watched the music video for Famous Last Words’ single The Show Must Go On, in which the lead singer plays the part of a male who has been cheat on yet he has a good side and a bad side which is

reflected through the lyrics and the costume (make-up). I liked the way the band had used this idea and I thought it would be a good way to portray the lyrics of Once A Liar (Always A Fake) as the lyrics have a self-hate sound.

The idea for the break-up storyline came to mind as, during the time of writing down my initial ideas, I was going through a break-up myself and when I next listened to the song the lyrics had an almost different meaning and I read each bit in a different way. I think that a break down scene would fit well as the music is fast paced and involves an unclean vocalist, so to make the scene fit better I shall speed it up, if I choose to do this. I also thought about adding titles in to show the viewer that this is all mean to be

happening over a period of days, to show how the male deals with the break-up he has suffered.

The inspiration for this idea came from videos such as Escape The Fate – City of Sin and also Pierce The Veil – Hell Above. I put in that I was considering a small mosh-pit or even a small wall of death which are both very common at live shows by bands in this

genre of music. However, I am still unsure about this as the actors/actresses safety may be endangered in these circumstances so I shall have to consider this deeply and then ad everything that may be a risk into my risk assessment.
