Simple but effective theme.

Blood dripping down the stairs.

I like how this effective opening does not give anything away about the story or characters. This creates tension.

I like how the scene is dark and all you can see is the bright red blood.

Signifies the gore in the film.

EVIL DEAD

I like that the credits flow over the pictures in the opening, instead of them appearing by themselves separately.

Filtered picture to look old fashioned. Changes the atmosphere to more sinister.

After each scene it zooms or snaps to a different angle of the same scene. This creates a bigger impact.

Scene of a death/crime scene.Raises enigmas such as who or why did she die?

Ginger Snaps

Uncovering a secret message/ a clue to the film.

Smudging of a certain word. Suggests it might be significant.

It hides away what is happening and who and why they are doing this action.

I like the use of the close-up angle so you cant see the setting.
