JANUARY

• In January we celebrate “The three Kings”.

• It is a very popular celebration in Catalonia.

• Boys and girls, love, this celebration because the tree kings give presents to them.

FEBRUARY

• In February we celebrate the “Carnival”.

• The party consist to fancy-dress, enjoy, laugh and meet friends.

• At night people go to dance.

MARCH

• At the end of March and at the beginning of April we celebrate “Easter Week”. It is a religious party, because weremember when Crist died.

APRIL

• In April we celebrate “Saint George” day.

• Saint George in the patron saint of Catalonia

• In that day people give books and roses

MAY

• The first day in May, we celebrate the “Workday”. Nobody works.

JUNE

• In June we celebrate “Saint Joan”. People throw banger during the day and nigh. It’s very typical eat “Coca” or Saint Joan.

JULY

• In Alcover, we celebrate a cool summer evening, where we do different activities:

• Theater.

• Concerts

• Cinema…

AUGUST

• The 15th of August, we celebrate “Mare de Deu del Remei”.

SEPTEMBER

• The 11TH OF September, we celebrate the Catalonia day.

OCTOBER

• The 2nd week of October we celebrate “La Fira” and “La Festa Major”.

• There are attractions, theatre, concerts, cinema…

NOVEMBER

• The first day of November we celebrate “The Castanyada”. The party consists to eat toast chestnut and typical sweets.

• Their name are “panellets”, we cook with ingredients, for exp:

• Almond• Suger• Lemon

DECEMBER

• In December we celebrate Christmas.

• We celebrate in family. In 31th, we celebrate the New year.

People eat 12 grapes.
