British Film Industry VS American Film Industry

The British film industry has a complex attitude to Hollywood. It has been argued that the size of the domestic British cinema market makes it impossible for the British film industry to successfully produce Hollywood-style blockbusters over a sustained period without U.S. involvement.

OriginsThe British Rock was born around the end of the 50’s with some influences from rock and roll and rhythm and blues of the United States. Singers like Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry y Little Richard was the most important in rock and roll.

British Invasion

British rock was popularized with the arrival of "British invasion" which lasted for almost everyone but was reflected mainly in the United States. The Beatles were one of the band that started this movement In There were other bands that also caused the expansion of this movement.

With the end of the concert of The Beatles the American bands begin to dominate the music world. Appear Jim Morrison with The Doors, The Beach Boys and famous guitarist like Jimi Hendrix However some british bands like Pink Floyd return with the British Rock, recovering a much of what had been achieved in the British invasion.

Sex PistolsIn the next years appear a new rock genre: The punk genre. The Sex Pistols are considered the first band set the punk movement in the United Kingdom. Their songs “God Save the Queen”, “Anarchy in the U.K.” are the most controversial songs that the lyrics speak abaout the Queen and the Crown.
