With over 500 paintings, sketches, concept arts, sculpture and digital installation on display, Pixar animation is more than just the development of pencil on paper to computer graphics. For instance, Mr Incredible (The Incredibles) had head sculptures of himself doing a variety of face expressions whereas Woody (Toy Story) had to go through several changes before Woody was truly born. A character does not simply belong to a single artist. Various artists at times contribute, be it sketches done in different mediums or even making sculptures to further lock in the essence of the character. If you think watching sketches are pretty drab, think again. Pixar has some cool tricks up its sleeves. Zoetrope & Artscape are both audiovisual installation marvels that will leave you bewildered. Aimed to promote Yorkshire as both a study and travel destination, this green county offers great activities all year round with such spectacular scenery, you will never want to leave once you arrive.
