This is our first billboard poster for IVY WOOD.

We followed the conventions shown on the E4 style guide, to ensure that our logo was placed exactly in the right co-ordinates.

Q2Representing Age:

Normal teenage fashion- denim jackets; t-shirts etc..

Emphasises that they are of similar age to the audience.

Use of

feather bower- adds humour and characteristics. In touch with his feminine side.

Audience want to know why he is wearing it.

Rhino supports a ‘Ralf Lauren’ t-shirt, keeping up with fashion and in trend. Also, the tattoo of a Rhino on his arms adds humour.

Q2Representing Age: Ivy wood has young characters. People associate this almost

like a ‘school’ soap: e.g. Waterloo Road.

Actors and characters are the same age as their

target audience

Storylines are for older audiences, as the magazine

has a much broader audience than the soap itself.

Q2Evaluation of products: I believe that our main product and our ancillary tasks are effective because they all feature

the same characters; use the same colour scheme and apply the forms and conventions of already existing soaps.
