How did I use technologies to create my product?Digital Camera:When shooting my stop motion film, I used a digital camera . This allowed me to edit the pictures I had taken. It also meant the images were a better quality. I could upload them to a computer and edit the sequence of photos into the desired film.

Tripod:I used a tripod to steady the camera and to make the individual shots precise and level with the set.

Cont.

Slideshare:After editing my film, I created an account on ‘SlideShare’ and uploaded my film onto the site. The file was too big so I went back onto PowerPoint to re-edit my film by splitting it into 6 parts and then uploaded them to the site.

Link to SlideShare account: http://www.slideshare.net/xx-tawnygurl-xx/edit_my_uploads

YouTube: Eventually ,I will be able to upload the film to YouTube. This allows other people to watch the film and comment on it.

Creating the set for my film was difficult. I needed to acquire a reasonably sized box, pictures of a kitchen, floor and food; as well as the stars – fruit.

How did this task enable me to be creative?

‘Creative’: Relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas.

To show the fruit speaking, I wrote on some lined paper and cut it out in the shape of a speech bubble and placed next to the character with blu-tac. Acquiring the other

characters was reasonably easy due to my family being the ‘healthy’ sort. The character’s ranged from: apples, oranges, bananas, lemons, melons and grapefruits.

BUILDING

THE

NARRATIVE

Funny as it is, I dreamed my film narrative... My main character: Orange, was having a birthday party, but no one turned up. He became really upset but eventually his friends did turn up after a build up on the M60.

Cont. After watching some films on YouTube, I

found inspiration for my film.

At my house, the only room where we get the most reasonable lighting is in the conservatory which is where I ended up creating my film. Luckily, the rest of the family were elsewhere so I could knuckle down and concentrate on what I was trying to achieve.

I didn’t work with anyone on this project because I wanted to create the film by myself. But whist editing the film, I asked for the opinions of my family as to whether it was: too fast, too slow, bad quality etc.

To create emotion on my characters, I drew faces on each of the fruit, I also added hair and other accessories like hats to add personality.

Time wasn’t an issue when I was making this film. I had the house to myself and the conservatory door shut so I couldn’t get distracted by noises and the radio.
