Evaluation 7- Looking back at your preliminary tasks, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product? When starting off with doing my preliminary, my knowledge was limited to the required elements and factors my magazine would need to include in order to successfully target a specific audience. For my preliminary task I used word to create my magazine, therefore very limited to elements which would create an appealing magazine. The images used for my preliminary task were taken on a camera phone whereas my photos used for my final product were taken on a proffessional camera with certain lighting and exposure. The photos used for my mock up were taken from the internet. My skills have definintly improved from my preliminary to my final product as before I wasn’t aware with the skills needed to work Photoshop and Indesign which are the two softwares in which drastically improved my product. From my preliminary to my mock up my skills also improved drastcially despite even still using powerpoint to create my mock up. My mock up included saleslines, feature stories, various images and the use of convergance which was more appealing to the randomly sampled people I showed. Despite having a few compliments on colour theme and organistation, this was seen in a positive light as it allowed me to develop my skills and ideas to my final product. It was also important to establish the mise- en –scene for my final product as some teens had trouble linking it with a certain genre Finally, the journey from my Preliminary to mock up plan to my final product has been continuous

It was also important to establish the mise- en –scene for my final product as some teens had trouble linking it with a certain genre

Finally, the journey from my Preliminary to mock up plan to my final product has been continuous trial and improvement, improving each time until my final product to which I, myself and target audience (hopefully) are happy with. My language has improved in appealing to a teenage audience; using slang and colloquial language they would use themselves. My magazine was created entirely on InDesign and Photoshop and clearly does it justice when comparing it to my preliminary and mock up made on word and PowerPoint.

Overall, im very happy with the progress I’ve made from october 2014 to april 2015 through research, planning, trail and improvement and my final product. My skills in photoshop have improved the most as being unaware with the software before hand made it difficult to start out with. My favourite part of my blog is being able to see how my work has improved due to input and my development of skills. Its safe to say the change from my preliminary to final product have improved greatly as my final product looks more appealing to my target audience and looks more realisitic.
