Toy Story 1, 2, and 3

Toy Story 2 was released in 1999. It became the third highest grossing

film of the year, making over $485 million worldwide.

Toy Story 3 is the most recently released Disney Pixar film. It came out this year in 3D and is currently the highest grossing film of 2010 in

the U.S.

• Toy Story was Disney and Pixar’s first

movie together. It was released in 1995 and it grossed over

$350 million worldwide.

A Bug’s Life

• A Bug’s Life is Disney and Pixar’s second movie together. It was released in 1998. Loosely based on the old tale

of worker ants and lazy bullying grasshoppers, it is entertaining for

adults and children alike. The clumsy and enthusiastic main character

mistakenly hires circus performers instead of warriors to help free the

colony from the grasshoppers.

Monsters, Inc.

• Monsters, Inc. was released in 2001. John Goodman and Billy Crystal lend

their voices to the two main characters, “Sulley” and “Mike”. The monsters find themselves in quite a

predicament after a human child follows them into their world and

they must find a way to return her to her room while trying to avoid

detection.

Finding Nemo

• Nemo is my favorite of all the Disney Pixar animations. A young and

adventurous clownfish is separated from his over-protective father after they have an argument. Marlin, the father, spends the movie “battling the entire ocean” to find his son.

Meanwhile, Nemo, the son, has been taken to a fish tank and must try to escape before a little girl makes him

go “belly up”.

The Incredibles

• The Incredibles was released in 2004. This movie features Craig Nelson as Bob Parr and Holly Hunter as Helen

Parr. The pair are superheroes forced to live under the radar after a series

of lawsuits against superheroes. They have 3 children who also have

superpowers and they must come together to defeat a villain who threatens to take over the city.

Cars

• Cars was released in 2006 featuring the voices of Owen Wilson as Lightning

McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater. Lightning is a famous racecar who

ends up in Radiator Springs after his driver lost him on the highway. He is ordered to stay in the small town to fix the road he destroyed but all he is worried about is

getting to “the big race” in time. Lightning develops friendships with the other cars

and helps to revitalize their town before he leaves.

Ratatouille

• This movie was released in 2007 and is the only one that I personally

haven’t watched. Ratatouille features a rat named Remy. He aspires to be a gourmet chef but encounters a few

problems on the way, as it is not easy to convince people that a rat belongs in the kitchen. One human

chef believes in him and the prove to make a good team.

WALL-E

• Wall-E was released in 2008. It features a robot who was created to

clean up earth in the future. He meets up with EVE, a much more

advanced robot sent to earth to look for signs of life. Wall-E gives her a plant he finds and together they

work to protect the plant and get the humans back to earth. In the midst of everything, the two fall in love.

Up• Up was released in 2009 and features

the voices of Edward Asner as Carl (a grumpy old man who is recently

widowed and decides to fly his house with balloons to Paradise Falls rather

than move into a retirement home) and Jordan Nagai as Russell (a wilderness explorer who accidentally tags along after chasing a “snipe” under Carl’s porch while trying to earn his last

badge).
