Nationally acclaimed as one of the most talented sculptors, painters and creators of wildlife art today, Dick Idol is also regarded as one of America’s premier outdoorsmen.

He has spent thirty years as a professional guide, naturalist, writer, editor, public speaker, conservationist, photographer, woodsman and co-founder of North American Whitetail Magazine.

Dick’s strongest passion, and perhaps his greatest talent, was awakened in 1994 with the completion of his first bronze sculpture of a whitetail deer. His unparalleled body of artwork since, including more than 40 bronze editions, more bronze “Ultra” monumental sculptures than any living artist and numerous paintings and drawings, has established him as a true “American Master”.

Although Dick’s early works were purchased solely as works of art, an exceptional business model was developed that allows universities and other organizations to commission world-class monuments to serve as icons of their school or group and to raise significant funds through the sale of bronze and resin reproductions to alumni, fans, students, parents and corporate supporters.

What Could a Dick Idol Monument Do For Your University?

•Bronze wolfpack ultra-monument, approximately 30 feet tall X 30 feet wide, of six wolves with special lighting and water effects to be installed in front of the new football operations center at Carter-Finley Stadium in December, 2002.•Four individual bronze wolf monuments to be installed at the four main entrances to the stadium. •Two individual wolf monuments installed in high-traffic locations on campus.•Model to be unveiled at a special homecoming event October 26, 2001 at Raleigh’s Memorial Auditorium (expecting 3,000-5,000 alumni and guests).•Order taking for limited edition bronze and resin reproductions of both wolfpack monument and individual wolves will begin at the unveiling and continue indefinitely with direct mail campaign and ads in NCSU game programs and Alumni magazine.•Major donors receive limited-edition bronze reproductions for their personal or corporate art collections valued at $25,000 and may have their name or that of their company inscribed in a special area near the monument at the stadium.•Dick Idol Ventures to provide turn-key fulfillment for resin reproduction sales, which are projected to be in the thousands.

Based upon this formula we can plan and implement a similar program for almost any school that could achieve very dramatic results.

By 2002, millions of consumers will own Dick Idol designed clothing, furniture, home accessories, rugs, outdoor gear and

other licensed products.

In 2000, Dick and a group of business leaders from the apparel, home furnishings and licensing industries formed Dick Idol Ventures, LLC in order to build the “definitive outdoor lifestyle brand” based upon Dick’s unsurpassed creativity and knowledge of the outdoors.

The company has signed several major licensing agreements. These Dick Idol lines serve to enhance the image of Dick and create greater demand (and value) for his artwork.

Why Are These Licensing Deals Important to Art Customers?

Dick Idol is a well-known and highly-respected figure in the outdoor industry and art world. Dick Idol Ventures was formed less than a year ago to make Dick Idol a “household name” by exposing his talents to a wider audience. When the Dick Idol lines of furniture, apparel, footwear and floor coverings are launched and marketed later this year by some of the top companies in their respective businesses, hundreds of millions of new people will be exposed to the Dick Idol brand and name.Popularity and name recognition are the only factors (other than death) that can increase the value of an artist’s works. An investment today in a Dick Idol monument and limited edition bronze and resin reproductions is sure to show a dramatic increase in value in the future.
