Research – Creative Commons

• The use of Creative Commons has helped me develop as a producer as it has provided me with a platform to find music which is not copyrighted easily across many social music websites. This is useful as it is easily accessed and helps me filter out music that I cant use because they are patented.

• Creative Commons was extremely easy to use as it only involved searching keywords with a few clicks.

• The use of this platform really helped our teen film as we could find the correct music to put in our film.

Research - Blogger

• Blogger was key to the whole project.• The blog provided us with a place to post and

organise all our research done.• The blog was easy to use as all you had to do was

login the blog what you wanted to post.• This was very useful for my group as when it came to

later stages of this product, it was easy for us to look back on our research and previous ideas.

• This helped me develop as a produce as it improve my organisational skills.

Planning - Timetoast

• Timetoast is a very clear way to make schedules.

• The use of Timetoast helped my planning skills in general as it acted as a diary/schedule that I had to stick to.

• This improved our final piece as it gave our group a time frame to get all our work done, this meant we knew exactly what we were meant to be doing at what time.

Planning – Digital Storboard

• The use of a storyboard allowed us to easily plan what each scene was going to look like.

• By using this it helped us know what we were filming on the days of the shoots. We would refer back to this at every shoot we did.

• This impacted our film as we clear showed well structured piece when it came to the showcase.

• This helped me as a media producer, as like the Timetoast, it helped me be organsied and plan out each idea we had for the final piece.

Construction – Filming - Camera

• The camera we used was a JVC HD camera.• This was a little difficult to use as there was so much to

remember when it came to using the camera, however we were given reminder sessions in class on how to use it properly.

• This camera allowed our final piece to be of a good, HD quality that was really clear when it came to the showcase

• The use of this camera really helped me as a producer as it helped me learn about cameras in general. I learnt how use a camera properly which I have never done before, so the overall experience with it was useful.

Construction – Filming - LED

• The LED light was easy to use as it only involved twisting a knob.

• This tech was useful as it helped us with the shoe box scene.

• By using this I learnt about the different effects on a shot between natural light and the Artificial light.

• This helped me as a producer as it showed me the light (if you pardon the pun) as to what lighting I should use in future projects.

Construction – Editing – Final Cut Pro

• Using Final cut pro was not easy to start off with. By having no knowledge of how to use it at the start really dropped me in the deep end, however once I had a few sessions using it, it became easy to pick up.

• By using Final Cut Pro, it added a professional finish to my final piece.

• By using this software, it allowed me to learn so much about editing in general, therefore it was extremely useful for me.

Construction – Editing - Clipgrab

• Clipgrab is a form of “vid2mp3 converter”.• It is very easy to use as all you have to do is copy

and paste the URL into the software then save it to its chosen destination.

• The use of this software allowed me to take sound effects from Youtube videos and place them in our final film.

• This benefited me as a producer as it provided me with software which could use in later projects.

Evaluation - Slideshare

• Slideshare allowed me to place PowerPoint presentations like this one on the blog.

• It is very easy to use as all it needs me to do is make an account then upload the presentation to slideshare, then embed it into my blog.

Evaluation - Camtasia

• Camtasia allowed me to make a short clip comparing my own teen film with a film that we used to base ours on.

• Using Camtasia was much easier than FCP as everything was clearly set out and easy to find.

• This helped me evaluate my film in a clear and interesting way.

• This helped me as a producer by enhancing my knowledge of another editing software.
