• Using Photoshop CS5 equip with an A4 layout. The first step towards our poster was finding a suitable background image which would set the correct tone for the product.

• The image is the most important aspect of the poster, as reflected on in my earlier research.

• It was seen fit that the image would have to be dark in correlation with the specified genre.

By this stage the typography was added as well as the production details. The font for the title is Impact, which has been consistent throughout the production and for the production details a font downloaded from dafont.com called “SP Movie poster”.

Now that the main structure of the poster has been formulated, all that was left was the minor details such as the production companies/ release date and tagline.

Comparison with others.

To coincide with my research, it is visible that I have used the classic horror poster conventions such as a clear title, a tagline, production details and most importantly of all an sinister image to capture the movies intentions and capture a target audience. Now that the poster is complete, a marketing strategy can now organized.
