• Slipknot is known for the masks characteristics of each of its members.*Its members use two types of guitar (main rhythm), bass, two custom percussion instruments, a battery and electronic instruments such as samplers or mixers.

The band's sound has been described as "a threshing machine devouring a military drum corps"
