Recently, the “Ebola virus” is quite famous because of news which talked about the dead resurrecting and rising from the dead. This is the first report had been received which happened in Liberia, Africa. That is so wired just like zombies are coming. So I decided to choose two zombie movies to do the comparisons which are “Zombieland” and also “World War Z”. “Zombieland” is a movie directed by Ruben Fleischer in 2009. “Zombieland” is a zombie comedy; inside of it got a lot of funny jokes and scenes. The main characters do not use each other's real names, but identify themselves by using place names which related to them such as Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock. For me, the funniest part of this movie is when Columbus's neighbor, named 406 came and found him. Suddenly, she turned into zombie and tried to bite Columbus. After hitting her down, Columbus said that: “You see, you just can’t trust anyone, the first time I love a girl in my life is trying to eat me”. The running time of the movie is around 87minutes.However, “World War Z” is an action film directed by Marc Forster in 2013. The movie takes about 116 minute after unrated cut. The movie shows a lot army forces fight against the zombies. They use a lot of weapon as well as helicopter and combat plane. There are two scenes from the trailer which are the reason that I chose to go cinema and watched it. The first part is when the main character Gerry lane acted by Brad Pitt jump to get into the helicopter and the following zombie fall from the building. The second one is the zombies step on each other to climb up the huge and high Jerusalem Wall.

Hi, in this assignment, we need to write an essay about contrast of differences between two horror movies.

For the beginning of the movie “Zombieland”, they showed zombies have taken over America in early twenty-first century but a shy and inexperienced college student “Columbus” in Texas has survived. He said that he was still survived with the reason he played safe and followed by his own rules, for examples: cardio, double tab, beware bathrooms, seatbelt, etc. After that, he decides to travel to Columbus, Ohio to have a look whether his parents were still alive. On his journey, he met the other survivor “Tallahassee” who is heading to Florida. Tallahassee is a man who was particularly violent in killing zombies. Luckily, going Florida and Ohio are both in the same direction, and he gets a ride from Tallahassee. On the other side, the movie “World War Z” started with some news and short clips about pollution around the world until the animals prey in madness. Then the story begins, Gerry Lane, a former United Nations investigator and his wife were having fun and guessing the question asked by their two daughters when stuck inside the traffic in Philippine, but suddenly the situation changed seen like something are going to happen. Gerry Lane decided to bring his family escape from the zombie outbreak. He contacted his friend, Thierry Umutoni who is the UN Deputy Secretary General for help. Thierry Umutoni agreed to help but the special

evacuation needed to wait until the next day. So Gerry Lane and his family stayed at Hispanic family in Newark as a shelter.

The both movie got loves but they are different. For “Zombieland” we can find love between girl and boy. Columbus fell in love to Wichita. In Bill Murray’s mansion in New York, Wichita got good feeling to Columbus. Despite Wichita's attraction to Columbus, she fears attachment and leaves with Little Rock for Pacific Playland the next morning. Columbus decides to go after Wichita, and convinces Tallahassee to join him. For “World War Z” is family love, Gerry Lane loves his family. He scarifies himself and works for his government to keep his family members are safe under protection of army. He tries to keep contact to his wife to make sure that his family member is safe no matter how danger the situation he’s involving in.

For the ending part, the sisters are trapped on a drop tower ride. Columbus plan to save them, he evades and shoots through several zombies to reach the tower, but not before conquering some of his phobias and even changing one of his rules of survival. In thanks, Wichita kisses Columbus and reveals her real name, Krista; Little Rock gives Tallahassee a Twinkie. Columbus realizes he now has what he's always wanted: a family. The ending of “World War Z”, Gerry Lane explains his theory about the zombies ignore the infirm because of the healthy issue, and suggests injecting themselves with a deadly but curable disease to mask themselves from the zombies. The suggestion is approved but the pathogens are located in one of the zombie-infected labs. Gerry Lane and a group of members go to the infested labs carefully but are detected. Gerry Lane finds himself in the vault with the pathogens, cornered by a lone zombie. Without the ability to identify the strains in storage, many of zombies which could kill him, Gerry injects himself with one of the samples. His hypothesis is proven correct as the zombie enters the vault but does not attack. He’s past thought those zombies and walk back safety with more samples.  They use the samples of disease to create a masking agent, allowing them to rescue refugees still trapped by zombies and fight against them. He says that this isn't the end and our war has just begun, but there is hope as people have used the masking agent to evacuate people or fight back.

In Conclusion, both of the movies are just too amazing and well done. If seriously want me to choose either one as the best, I like action more. So is a yes for “World War Z”
