WHERE DOES CHOCOLATE COME FROM?

• Chocolate comes from a small tropical tree usually called “Cacao”. • Cacao is a Native to Central and

South America but it grew commercially throughout the tropics.• About 70% of the world’s cacao

has been grown in Africa. • The ridged , football shape pod ,

or fruit of the cacao grows from the branches and oddly straight out of the trunk.
