A bilby is a small mammal about the

size of a rabbit.

It has big ears for hearing, soft fur for

warmth, long legs for digging and a long tail.

They live in places like hot deserts.

It digs burrows with it's sharp claws.

Bilbys eat bugs, seeds, shoots and fungi.

They hunt at night because they are nocturnal.
