• For my magazine design I have chosen to design my magazine cover to advertise Video games and Video game consoles. My main idea was to have the cover advertise the latest releases such as Pokémon Black and White which is shown on the front because since this is one of the newest releases I thought that it would be something that everyone would be looking into and therefore have a greater interest in it.

• The magazine shown here is a prime example of what I tried to base my magazine layout and design off of. As you can see the covers are very informative and display a lot of information which helps the reader to understand more easily just what to expect in the magazine chapters and topics. The magazine also uses a great deal of pictures and logo’s in their designs which I think helps with the look of the cover because it allows for people to be able to read major points that are mentioned further in the magazine such as the latest reviewed games and the feedback from other various releases that have already come out. I tried to resemble as much as I could in my own design by including various pictures of new games to come out as well as having a main picture on the front which relates to the title as this is the main topic that will be covered in the magazine.

• I chose to design a cover for a games magazine because it’s a topic which I enjoy reading and looking into but it is also a topic which many others would be interested in and would like to read about I’m sure.
