• Popular with age range of 16-25

• Hard to pinpoint exactly, as other genres have such easy ways (such as stereotyping)

• Generally more males than females like this genre of music.

• They are generally the biggest downloaders of music in the UK, especially because of how the charts are looking now with a lot of tracks coming from America.

Male

• Based on the popular magazine Mixmag (the UK’s biggest dance magazine) 72% of readers are male.

• They are normally extroverted.

• They’ll like partying, spending time with friends, into music themselves (possibly play an instrument or ‘DJ’)

• They, in gerenal always have the latest fashion and take pride in their appearance.

• Often they are over masculine, who like to flaunt their self image off to others. (for example long v-neck)

Female

• According to the same magazine, only 28% of the readers are female, which leads me to believe it is more a male dominated music genre.

• Women who go to clubs dressed often in a more promiscuous manner, as they would be going out to dance and impress.

• They would also be very extroverted, out there and involved.
