Q3 What did you
learn from your Audience
Feedback?
FeedbackAfter finalising the first draft of our coursework we needed feedback for us to see whether we needed to make changes to our work. The audience feedback would allow us to review our work to reveal how well we have kept to our brief. We decided to use different methods of peer review to get a thorough review of our project. The methods of feedback that we used include:
• Face to face• Video Reviews• Social Networking
• YouTube• Questionnaires

Q) What did you like about our project?A) It was different to other programmes of
the same genre, rather than go for the obvious option of choosing one from every “clique”, it was much more subtle. The sequence was funny, and the magazine and DVD complemented your video excellently.
Q) What would you change in our project?A) If I had to change one thing it would be to
perhaps re-film Amy’s part as the camera is a little shaky and it doesn’t show her character off enough. The DVD and magazine were great.

Q) What did you like about our project?A) The way that the title sequence was shot
was really innovative and suited the target audience perfectly. The DVD cover and magazine looked exactly like you would get for a show like this, you followed media conventions closely to get a good result.
Q) What would you change in our project?A) I think the black background on the first
shot of the film with “Winstanley Road “ doesn't really fit. I would also consider filming Amy’s part again, I think its too weak.
QuestionnaireWe decided that an effective way of having our project reviewed would be to release a questionnaire on our project. We have asked six questions that we felt were relevant about our project. Using a sample of 20 people in our college to watch our clip and look at our magazine and DVD covers. Their answer will then be recorded as part of the data. The questions bring up notable issues that we need to address within our project before we complete our final drafts. They were constructed as a result of Hannah and Jack’s reviews.
Does the title sequence make you want to watch the series?
Yes No
We thought the most important thing about our title sequence had to be that it looked appealing.
This simple yes or no question was asked to make sure we had made our sequence interesting enough that people would want us to make an episode of it.
As you can see out of our 20 audience members, just two said they didn’t want to watch the series.
What age range do think this programme is most suited for?
0 to 34 to 89 to 1212 to 1515 to 1818 +
Another important issue we needed to address was our target audience. We needed to be sure that we had matched our target audience set out when we were planning our project.
We therefore asked our survey of 20 people about the age range our project suits most effectively.
Throughout the process of creating our project we tried to keep in the age range of 12-15 and thankfully our survey revealed over 50% agree that it suits this age group.
Does the black background at the beginning of the video need replacing?
YesNo
An issue that we did have that needed to be addressed was that of the black background at the start of our video.
We felt this stood out and didn’t fit in with the rest of the video as it was boring and we felt that the “Winstanley Road” title needed something better.
Our survey agreed with us, with most of them voting that it needed to be changed.
If so, with what?Shot of the school
Shot of the Lads
Shot of all the Charecters
The 14 people who voted that the background needed changing were then given three suggestions of a change.
We thought these three ideas would fit into our piece easiest and let our survey decide which one they thought was best.
The shot of the lads was clearly the most popular option, so this is the one we chose to film.
Do you think our magazine conforms with our target audience of children aged 12-15?
It was vitally important that our magazine was representative of our target age group.
We had to ensure that others thought that we had conformed with typical magazine features to match it with our audience.
Only one person out of the twenty thought that it didn’t suit the age range so this was a good result for us.
Yes
No
Overall how would you rate the DVD’s representation of the series.
Very GoodGoodOkPoorVery Poor
The final question we asked related to our DVD cover. We simply asked what score they would give our DVD cover’s representation of our program.
We got great feedback with no one voting ‘poor’ or ‘very poor’, 50 % voting ‘Good’ and 40% ‘Very Good’. This gave us great confidence that our DVD cover was at a good standard.
