Most people felt that the genre was clear but those that didn’t said it was because:

The music was too friendly It was too obvious that the narrator was reading off

of a script It needed more darkly lighted shots and ‘graphic

content’

Other shots that people commented on were the title scene, the scene with the knife and some of the dialogue scenes. The reasons they gave were; because they like the angle, they thought it had ‘strong horror connotations’ or because they felt that the scene was effective and added to the action.

The main things that people felt could be improved was:

The acting The narration – it was too obvious that she

was reading off a script The music – it was too cheery/ not dark

enough The editing – transitions needed to be

smoother And the lighting needed to be darker

Low key lighting When it was going to be out Usually writing on the screen such as rhetorical questions Critics’ comments Quite a lot of talking – not generic conversation telling

the story Short snappy shots Multiple story lines A couple of other people commented on things such as

whether or not it was coming soon and that there wasn’t a voice over or narration. I, however, disagree with both of these things as our trailer has a title slide saying ‘Coming Soon’ and also has both a voice over and a narrator.
