Fun Facts

Disneyland’s Alice in Wonderland is a 3 minute and 40 second long ride.

It was built in 1958, four years after the park opened, and redone in 1983 as part of the “New Fantasyland Project.

At the beginning of the ride the caterpillar goes up hill, and comes down a hill at the end -- the Alice in Wonderland attraction is built on the second floor of the ride building that houses Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Mad Hatter’s Tea PartyTake a giant tea cup out for a spin! Pour yourself into one of 18

colorful oversized tea cups and feel like you've entered Wonderland for a colorful, musical party ride that is sure to send you spinning.

Enjoy wide, gradual turns as you glide along or go on a wild, dizzying madcap adventure that spins you frantically round and round in circles. Each tea cup ride vehicle has a wheel in the center that lets you control how fast your cup spins. The faster you turn the wheel, the faster you spin!

This wonderfully wacky tea party is right out of The Mad Hatter and the March Hare's "Unbirthday" party from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. It will have you dizzy with laughter!

Fun Facts

The attraction is called Mad Tea Party at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. It is known as Alice's Tea Party at Tokyo Disneyland, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups at Disneyland Paris, and Mad Hatter Tea Cups at Hong Kong Disneyland.

The tea cups in Disneyland no longer spin due to an accident with a paraplegic male.

Watch for the Dormouse, who periodically pops out of the teapot in the center of the platform.
