Zinfra is a leading power, gas, water and telco infrastructure service provider. We offer a comprehensive range of engineering, construction and maintenance and operations services to the utility infrastructure industry.
Client: AusNet Services Tarrone Terminal Station 500kV Deviation• Zinfra procured, assembled and
terminated 6 x 500kV 70m strain towers
and dismantled two existing 500kV
double circuit suspension towers
• The deviation was to connect the new
Tarrone Terminal Station in to the existing
500kV transmission line between
Moorabool and Heywood
• Project challenges overcome included
managing outages and changing
weather conditions
Client: Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (FMG)Solomon Mine 33kV& 132kV Power Infrastructure Upgrade• Zinfra was commissioned by FMG to
engineer, procure and construct 10km
of underground 33kV cable, 8km of
underground fibre optic cable, 14 x
33kV switchgear installations and
switchgear terminations
• The works also included all HV cable
jointing and 132kV HV equipment
installation (including all civils)
Client: CPPMusselroe 110kV Transmission Line• Zinfra constructed 49km of 110kV
transmission line between Musselroe
Wind Farm to connect to the Transend
owned transmission network at Derby
substation
• The work consisted of the erection of 154
steel poles (three sections each), stringing
three single “phosphorous” conductor
and a 13.8mm earth wire (OPGW)
including the installation of vibration
dampers (main conductor and OPGW)
and bird diverters on the 49km circuit
• Most of the work was undertaken in
winter and across difficult and rugged
terrain with 50 line deviation bend points
Client: Leighton Contractors MacArthur Windfarm 132kV Lines• Zinfra assembled and erected 15.6km of
double circuit 132kV transmission line and
5.6km of 33kV double circuit 132kV pole
sub-transmission and transmission lines
• The works included the construction of
the two collection points from the turbines
which supplied the 33kV section of line
• The 132kV section of line then fed back
in to the AusNet grid via the Tarrone
Terminal Station
• Project challenges overcome included
very difficult and changing weather
conditions making construction of the line
near on impossible!
Our Experience
Zinfra has the capability to deliver entire Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) solutions, including underground cable networks (medium voltage cables, copper cables and optical fibre cables), padmounts, collector substations and overhead transmission lines
