Slotted Screen or Wedge wire screen ?

A wedge wire screen can have a much larger open area than a slotted bore screen andhas a stronger construction method.

Slotted casing screen can have a max of approximately 24%.

Wedge wire screen can have over 50% open area, allowing a much greater flow.

How to join my screen to the casing ?

The main method is to use a solvent welded coupling glued to the casing.If the casing is threaded then a female thread is attached or machined in one end of the screen.Or

Do I need a sump on my Borescreen ?

A sump is used to catch any fines that may enter the screen over a period of time and instead of blocking the screen it just fills the sump.

A good idea if a pump is to be fitted into the bore.
