Transforming and Optimising African Oil and

Gas Industry: Driving Growth through

Investment; Enhanced Operations and

Technological Capabilities.

22 - 23 April, Abuja, Nigeria

African Oil and Gas industry is experiencing a period of sustained boom and challenges to its stability and to its position as the primary global energy supplier. Lack of investment, insecurity, inadequate professionals, fast technology advancement and operation uncertainties continue to affect the industry, production outputs and growth. AIPEC Africa 2015 International Petroleum Conference

Boosting Growth and Productivity of

Upstream – Onstream - Midstream –

Downstream Sectors.

29 - 30 July, Kampala, Uganda

While the window of opportunities continues to widen for the Oil and Gas industry, creating immense and substantial prospect for African countries to utilise prevailing hydrocarbons resources to transform regional economies and create growth opportunities. Likewise, the velocity of investment and competition is increasing. Recent exploration success rates and findings of hydrocarbons resources in Eastern Africa have raised investor’s interest and drawn attention of International Oil Companies (IOCs) into the region. However, the development of facilities and performance of Oil & Gas industry continues to lag behind and present major growth challenges. To date, development or upgrade of crude oil processing and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) infrastructure whether in mature fields such as West Africa and issuing of new E&P licenses in the frontier markets lags behind as the global energy market landscape shift. These projects to expand or develop new facilities are habitually late or way over budget, fail to deliver their production promises or remains on papers. Production shortfalls, changes in regulatory policies, low appetite to harness sustainability, local beneficiation and inclusiveness; rising environmental issues due gas flaring and oil bunkering; rising risks and poor Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management records; in addition to inadequate local professionals to drive industry growth are all too common factors. The discussions will take deep exploration of current investment opportunities and portfolios in the region to profile financing options. In addition, experts will provide leading management practices, innovative technologies and strategies to enhance excellence, competitiveness and profitability.

OAC Africa 2015 Offshore & Onshore Conference

Harnessing Africa’s Oil & Gas Industry

Potential: Overcoming Growth, Financing,

Technological and Talent Barriers.

25 -26 November, Nairobi, Kenya

Africa is at a crossroad with regard to its Oil and Gas industry future. Despite currently boasting some of the major world’s hydrocarbons resources and reserves, attracting tremendous investment, IOCs attention and demonstrating rapid industry growth pace. A number of current trends are pointing towards a paradoxical growth and deterioration of the industry’s sustainable growth and performance, measured in terms of: outputs, widening demand and supply gaps, rising fuel prices and shortages; inadequate infrastructure, facilities and professionals; sustainability and CSR management issues, constant shift in industry context and operation complexities. In addition to rising insecurity, complex fiscal policies and regulatory regimes. Presented by the SSCG, The OC Africa 2015 aim to attract energy executives, officials, professionals, specialists, investors and companies from around the world in a series of interactive panels to discuss the industry landscape and growth potential. The goals of the conference are to provide participants with new insights, tools, perspectives and strategies to help them manage industry-related issues and challenges as they operate, invest and expand into the region.

EOGC Africa 2015 Energy, Oil and Gas Investment and Development Conference

Driving African Onshore and Offshore

Industry Development, Financing and

Growth

02 - 03 September, London | 11 - 12 November, Lagos

The discovery of petroleum resources in Africa remains at record level high in relation to other continents in addition to Oil and Gas exporters: Algeria, Angola, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Libya, Nigeria and South Sudan. Recent progressive discoveries of significant and proven hydrocarbons reserves in the Eastern Africa region (Both offshore and onshore): Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Somalia and Uganda. The prospect exploration of additional findings in Ethiopia, Malawi, Somalia, Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar and Rwanda have drawn international attention and influx of Multi-National Oil Companies (MNOCs) into the region. Furthermore, has attracted substantial investment flow into the industry.

At the same time, Africa is gaining increased access to international capital. This highlights the significance of the region and its potential as the next frontier in petroleum production not forgetting importance of petroleum as a commodity for World trade, driver of economic growth and source of energy, fuel, automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical products. The global race for commodities has given African governments more bargaining power, reform policies drive industry sustainability and negotiate better deals that capture more value from the resources to create local opportunities and drive growth.

This two days strategic conference will gather industry experts, officials, investors, NOCs, IOCs, legal and finance professionals to discuss and profile current industry growth trends, investment and project financing opportunities in Africa. Create a platform for sharing insights, perspectives and leading practices.
