• high security: data and connections encryption.

PLATFORMMY-TOK

Page 4: Sipal - My Tok: Technical Documentation Suite

The CSDB (Common Source Database Manager) Documentation Manager was developed to control the life cycle of documentation in S1000D format and any personalisation or other reference specifications.

SICURETY

• Users are authenticated by username and password;

• these credentials are saved in encrypted format (MD5) in the database;

• the authorisation settings permit • definition of various user profiles. For example:

• project administrator• editor• reviser

• univocal specification of the data accessible by a given user and in what way (i.e. read only);

• the software has a data encryption and compression system for executable files to make disassembly more difficult (thus preventing possible bypassing of the security settings);

• communication between the software and the database is made more secure by the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol.

WORKFLOW

• The project administrator can define a project based on one or more DTD/XML Schema;

• once the project details, DMC and ICN are defined, a DMRL (Data Module Requirement List) can be created of the entire publication Set;

• in the DMRL the project administrator can declare different types of DMs to better document the product under analysis;

CSDBMY-TOK

Page 5: Sipal - My Tok: Technical Documentation Suite

• once the DMRL is defined, authors can create/modify the individual DMs directly in the CSDB interface using the internal text editor or external editors (for example Altova XMLSpy or Arbortext Editor), as well as continually control the structure of their DM (DTD/Schema parser);

• when an author finishes writing the DM, it moves on to the final reviser for validation and final issue;

• traces are kept of the operations carried out on the individual DMs, making the various versions available to users, including the related notes.

FUNCTIONS

• DM (Data Module) management in XML and SGML format;

• simultaneous management (in the scope of the same project) of various DTD Schemas based on different specifications, including S1000D versions 1.8 thru 4.1;

• integrity checking on the completeness of the publication and “referencing” of the content;

• remote access possibility, via:• SaaS Portal• VPN(Virtual Private Network)• Dedicated network

• possibility of entering and filtering for parameters not present in the DMs;

• DM structure correctness validation, according to DTD/Schema;

• advanced search/filter functions;

• DM and graphics Import/Export;

• CSL, DMRL, DDN Import/Export;

• supports graphic formats DWG, DXF, CGM, CG4, TIF, JPG, SVG, GIF,PNG, PDF;

• management of project-related documents (possibility of archiving files in any format);

• management of multiple DM sharing between different projects: possibility of selecting which projects share a given document (and if the share is removed, possibility of copying it physically directly into the project);

• DTD management in server mode;

• management of the information within the DM (mainly as regards versioning);

• presence of columns in the interface that for each DMC provide the following additional information:

• DTD/schema used• Information on DM share• Information on document type (AVEE/AGE/...)• QAstatus

• if a file already present in the DB is imported, the user is shown the date of creation of both files and asked whether to overwrite the version already present;

• possibility of carrying out checks at publication or individual DB level:• figures existence• links existence• documents existence

• possibility, through an Excel file, of specifying the list of project DMs (DMRL): this creates spaces in the DM manager distinguished by grey colouring;

• integration between CSDB and SW to create hotspots;

• workflow management;

• file association possibility for each DM/PM (without content management);

• possibility of creating DM reports, based on status, notes, document history;

• multilevel notes management;

• project parameter insertion.

INTEGRATION with MY-TOK© Printer and MY-TOK© Viewer:

• Publisher functions (possibility of personalising style sheets for web previews and pdf printing);

• publication Module creation;

• possibility of inserting and printing parameters not present in the DM;

• individual DM/PM printing management.

Page 6: Sipal - My Tok: Technical Documentation Suite

MY-TOK© Printer meets the need to create professional prints from XML (eXtensible Markup Language) or SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language) format documents, simply and intuitively.

FUNCTIONS

• Integration with MY-TOK© CSDB, possibility of managing prints directly from CSDB;

• possibility of using an interface independent of CSDB to load documents and illustrations;

• the style sheets can be personalised by users based on S1000D or other specifications;

• possibility of creating PMs (Publication Modules), for printing entire manuals;

• DM management in XML and SGML format;

• DM structure correctness validation, according to DTD/Schema;

• management of graphic formats DWG, DXF, CGM, CG4,TIF, JPG, SVG, GIF e PDF;

• output based on style sheets: • File printing in PDF, OpenOffice and PostScript formats;

• Publication on MY-TOK© Viewer connecting to the CSDB;

• possibility of inserting and printing parameters not present in the DM;

• online help.
