• Introduction• Objective & Scope• Base Paper (Hard Copy)• Literature Survey• Design • Tools / IDE• Work Done• Work to be done (Full plan of Completion)

Questions….?

• Difference between dipole & monopole antennas

• Why s-parameter is used• What is return loss• Antenna position at time of measurement of

radiation pattern• Equivalent circuit diagram

Two equal length elements, one to the center of the coax, and one to the shield side

Only one length elements which is connected to groundplan2

• Due to high frequency we use s-parameter to measure the different losses.

• Return loss is defined as a loss in power signal returned/reflected by discontinuity in a transmission line.

• Since the antenna size is very small in terms of mm so the position can be either in horizontal or vertical.

INTRODUCTION

• Multi-input and multi-output a key technology for modern wireless communication.

• It improves network throughput, capacity and coverage without additional bandwidth.

• For a smaller handset we need to develop a compact multiband antenna to support multifunction and multiple standards.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

• To design a dual-element printed multiband printed MONOPOLE antennas array for MIMO terminals and study the performance of it.

• As advancement is concerned in mobile and wireless technology we have a number of use of this type of antenna like in mobile and different wireless devices

LITERATURE SURVEY

• Study of High frequency structural simulator (HFSS) and design of basic antennas like circular & rectangular patch antenna.

• Different journal papers and articles related to antenna and HFSS tutorials from YouTube.

• References listed in my base paper.

TOOL/IDE

• HFSS (high frequency structural simulator)

WORK DONE

• Literature surveys.• Design of dual-element multiband printed

monopole antenna array.• Studying the performance of antenna.• More than 50% of base paper implemented.• Simulation & radiation pattern at 900 MHz is

observed and analyzed the result.

WORK TO BE DONE

• Have to minimize the issues identified in designing and literature survey.

• Analyze the radiation pattern at different frequencies given in base paper.

• Try to achieve maximum efficiency and accurate gain.
