PCB Design Changes for Internet of Things Printed Circuit Boards or PCBs for short are cheap electronic board who serve the ever important function of mechanically supporting and electrically connects electronic components of a device. Printed circuit boards have become the backbone of the electronic industry and there is almost no device left in the world that does not contain a type of printed circuit board that allows it to function. Printed circuit board PCB design, Manufacturing and Assembly are highly sought after in the world and this has become one of the biggest markets in the world. As technology is evolving forward at a rapid rate so are the methods of PCB design, assembly and manufacturing. PCBs are non- conductive substrate and are usually judged according to the number of layers that they have which can be one to ten. The conductive parts are usually made of copper and the board is laminated with an epoxy resin which is basically a type of solid hard plastic. Usually PCBs are green in color due to the natural tint of the epoxy that is used but has more materials have begun to be used for the manufacturing of these boards; today PCBs are found in almost all types of colors. The number of layers of a PCB depends on how the board is going to be used. Those boards that are to be used in complex machines have a number of layers and even comprise of several thin boards put together while those that are used in simple devices are single sided PCBs. With the advent of the new Internet of Things technology, an internet of things IoT Design Company must now look into ways to implement accurate ways to accommodate always connected internet of things capabilities for their devices. An internet of things IoT Design Company must not only now make their products with high usability and flexibility but now also take upgradability into account.
